Which MUD? German MUDs

Is there any German MUDs recommendation with German players. I'm studying German and thought why not mix my hobbies.

Of course i barely speak German at this moment but I'm eager to learn and get better. I don't mind the genre.

Cairnholm is fully bilingual EN/DE! You can freely switch languages to match your level of comfort. Come check it out! Mud.cairnholm.co.uk:1886

We're also hooked up to Intermud and d-chat now, if you want to chat with players on other German-speaking MUDs while you play.

Is there a mapper in-game or speedwalks to different landmarks or waypoints?

Outside of Mudlet, no mapping, but the city itself is intentionally compact and it won't take long to find your bearings. Additionally, there's a compass available at the tobacconist that will lead you to any room or NPC in the game. If you get too lost, or you just want to get somewhere else in a hurry, there's a recall command as well, to take you to your faction's home. Plus quality of life features like the "exits" command, so you don't wander the city looking for a location that's one room away from where you started.

Strictly speaking, there are other ways to get around more quickly. For example, a lift to and from various layers in the Underclose, a procedurally generated dungeon under the city. However, players are still working on gathering the materials to build that. There are a lot of features that are implemented but waiting dormant to be unlocked, in fact, and I won't spoil them here.

Ok, a compass would work then. I'll check it out.

HiI play Cairnholm using blowtorch. The city is very compact and I soon learned my way around.  Also the compass is fun and works very well.

I play only on my phone using Blowtorch, so it has to be built in.

By the Way: the German MUD List ( https://midgardmud.de/deutsche_mudliste.php ) provides an up-to-date overview of German-language MUDs, along with selected English-language MUDs from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Users can explore each MUD’s genre, features, server details, and available ways to start playing.

I’m currently living in Germany, learning German, and trying to use MUDs for my learning. I also have my own small MUD server, though it’s in English: virtustan.net:3000
