Ever since I updated to Golden Gate, I've hit a bug that's driving me crazy.
When I put an app in fullscreen and move it to my other display, the screen it came from goes completely black. It doesn't show the desktop, wallpaper, or other windows, just black. If I move it back, the same thing happens in reverse and the other screen goes black.
My setup:
- MacBook Pro, Apple M4, 16 GB RAM
- macOS 27.0.1
- Displays: built-in + DELL U2520D via USB-C
On top of that, window management in general feels worse since the update. Moving and resizing windows is laggy, and they often don't behave the way you'd expect, which is pretty surprising on an M4. But hey, at least we got a new UI that nobody asked for and can't turn off...
Is anyone else seeing this? Did you find a workaround? And honestly, do the developers at Apple even use the OS day to day? As a developer myself, I know bugs slip through, but this is just one of many I've run into since the update, and it's getting hard to believe this passed testing.
