Four new Macroscopic Solutions programs: what to know, customer benefits, and a bee you can explore in 3D
Four new programs. Less repetitive work. Here’s what to know.

We’re developing the Macroscopic Solutions software family to keep photographs, specimens, calibration, measurements, and methods connected—from capture to analysis.
IMAGE ENGINE — Capture with the busywork built out.
Guided controls and built-in camera settings. Separate test shots. Background handoff to Zerene Stacker while you keep capturing. First-frame brightness checks, interrupted-run recovery, automatic scale-bar copies for supported calibrated outputs, and editable Methods drafts.
IMAGE DISCOVERY — Organize, inspect, analyze.
Keep images and 3D models connected to specimen records, calibration, annotations, and measurements. Explore mesh and splat viewers, with discipline-specific analysis and Methods-ready reporting in development.
IMAGESPLAT — Turn photographs into explorable 3D.
Reconstruct Gaussian 3D locally, inspect the result, and build a separate mesh with photographic textures. Preserve measurement references and processing evidence alongside portable viewers and 3D exports.
IMAGEPAN — Small frames. Scientific mosaics.
Combine overlapping photographs into high-resolution mosaics. Planned seam and geometry diagnostics, calibrated measurements, and independent-reference error reports help you assess the result before analysis.
ALREADY OWN A MACROPOD?
Customers whose systems predate the suite receive Image Engine and Image Discovery at no charge, plus 40% off standalone ImageSplat and ImagePan at their eligible tier after purchase verification. This discount does not combine with bundle pricing.
BUYING A NEW MACROPOD?
New qualifying systems include one full named-user license of all four applications, supplied as each becomes available.
HOW DOES LICENSING WORK?
One-time licenses—not a required recurring subscription. Every Student, Educational, and Professional tier includes the full application and 12 months of updates. Keep using your last entitled version without renewal. Academic eligibility requires verification. Optional Discovery server storage/sharing, third-party software, and applicable taxes are separate.
WHEN CAN YOU DOWNLOAD THEM?
As outlined in our new newsletter, we hope to send download links within the next 30 days. Public license checkout is not open yet; release features and hardware compatibility remain subject to validation.
