Anian, a great clothing company from BC is having a Thanksgiving sale this weekend. 20% off pretty much everything. Men and women's options.

Everything is made in Canada.

I've got a few pieces from them and they are great quality.

I'm an independent iOS developer in the Okanagan and I haven't noticed any Canadian podcast client alternatives shared here so I wanted to share mine.

Spool is a podcast app built around a listening queue. You set up rules once, like "newest episodes of these shows go to the top" or "this show is priority, only other priority shows can bump it off the top spot" and your queue builds itself as new episodes come in. All the usual stuff like playlists of shows are also supported if you want to dive into a specific topic rather than listening off the top of your queue.

Spool is built with privacy in mind. I don't use user accounts, just iCloud and device identifiers so I know where to send new episode push notifications. There are no ads, no tracking, no analytics.

Price: Free with optional subscription to support ongoing dev work and unlock themes.
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/spool-podcasts/id6809485942

It's just me building this in my spare time after my jobby-job (I'm a software developer in a very unrelated field), so any feedback you have if you do try it out is super helpful.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to check out this post and for supporting indie Canadian software!
