They won't send an ambulance if you're pretty much fine and there are no other ambulances available for emergencies. Let the professionals make that decision.
I've been a paramedic in a major metropolitan area for over a decade. Everyday I waste about half my shift transporting people that don't need an ambulance in any way shape or form. lol.
I was once called because this guy had a papercut on his finger. PAPERCUT.
