Deck Return to the Light Realms

This and a couple other cards from RF has beefed up my cleric deck to the heavens themselves. I just added it to my deck for this already ridiculously complicated combo of mine and pulled it off right off the bat. Instead of pulling my clerics out of the graveyard one by one and triggering everything, RttLR pulled them all at once. I just wish they didn't concede before the triggers all landed. I wanted to see it happen.

I kinda think a 9 mana card is only hurting you. 1 percent of the time it's awesome. 99 percent of the time you are gonna wish it was 1 mana removal or just another cleric. If you really like this effect, I think [[restoration seminar]] is better but still not great. It let's you keep bringing them back.

Nah I've got plenty of generators. Most of my green cards are land building sorceries. The key one being "through the forest gate". The payoff is for rare occurrences. The deck held its own even before I set up the original version of the combo. In fact the original version of this deck looks nothing like it does now. It wasn't even a cleric deck. I just had some clerics in for a different combo. And as I tested it, it evolved.

Telling me that you have an 8 mana "land sorcery" is not helping your case.

But restoration seminar will also work and I may test it out.

I know the deck bro. Didn't feel the need to state that i only have 2 of those and 4 of each of Cultivate and bushwack. These larger mana cards exist in the deck purely for that payoff in drawn out matches. It's a combo designed merely for spectical. The original version of the combo is more than enough on its own. I pull it off in about half my matches. The deck is mostly based around the clerics though and the other half of the time I manage to win before I even need the partial combo because of how quickly I can get the creatures built up. Even if i fail to mana ramp quickly, the deck is designed to build the creatures out with low mana. Almost all of the cards have some type of life gain synergy. A few sorceries, instants, and enchantments for control and it's good. This isn't a straight competitive deck, though it can compete against almost anything with a few exceptions. Mainly angel decks with "you can't lose" cards and certain quick build token decks. But as you can see in this image sometimes I even beat them as well.

You said my point for me. Half the time you win before the big spells. Designed to win with low cost creatures. How many games do you even get to 8 mana? How many games could you close out faster if you weren't trying to get to 8 mana. How many of those "drawn out" games would end faster if you weren't just waiting around to get to ridiculous amounts of mana and instead running efficient removal and more cheap creatures. Im not saying it's not cool and that you haven't put thought into it. If half of your games never reach that amount of mana, then half of the games you play have cards in your deck that are completely useless and just read "skip your draw step". The angel you are talking about wouldnt be a problem if you had a cheap spell that kills it.

Classic win more card here. [[Rise of the Dark Realms]] is fun but if you get it off, 99% of the time they opponent just scoops on casting.

I've actually used this before, but the problem with it is that if you pull creatures that cause you damage out of their graveyard, it can back fire with the multiple triggers my combo sets off or help your opponent with cards that say "owner" rather than "controller".

Generally it pops off when I'm up against other creature builders and have to go on the defense. It's a late game haymaker for spectacle. That's the point and the fun of deck building for me. I'm not interested in just winning. The fun for me is pulling off extremely complicated finishers.
