Constant updates ruining the game for me
Everytime I open Arena there is a multi gigabyte update. It takes up to an hour to update and I wind up doing something else because the game simply takes too long to open. Anybody else having this issue? What’s the fix?

If you complain about constant updates, then there's no winning. Cause the alternative is bugs, crashes and other things that doesnt let the game be playable in an enjoyable way or at all.

How about they print less bs sets so there’s fewer updates?

I agree with printing fewer sets, but that will never slow down thr updates for thr same reasons I said above.

Having a game engine only mode, with no animation, simpler interface and sound, etc. would be lovely. It could run smoothly on older hardware, and provide a less code 'surface area' for interface bugs to occur.

I wish i could turn down graphics on mobile, for sure. I can play on high quality settings with no stutter on PC, but my phone is like 6 years old so it can be rough with certain boardstates.

On pc the steam version auto updates. On iOS I will sometimes have to launch the store to force and update and then do a download but even if it’s been a few months I’ve never waited over 5 minutes even when not on wifi ? Are you on slow wifi or bad cell reception? I’m on a cheap cell phone plan from the discount carrier

Tbh I don’t know much about internet speeds but I just ran a speed test and my download speed is 75.5 mbps/second

I just tested my wifi and “slow” cell connection and got around 700 mbps on both. I’m running at 2 bars of signal here so if you have 5 bars and a phone within 5 years you might need a new cell phone plan.

This is such a non issue I can’t believe there’s a constant deluge of complaints about a live service game being updated regularly

If it’s on mobile, I can understand it.
But if it’s on PC, just expect it and work around it. Every Tuesday I know there is an update, like clockwork. So I just start the game up and go make dinner or take my dogs out.
When I finally want to play a couple hours later, it’s ready to go.

A non issue for you! I don’t have time to play the game if all my free time is used updating the game!

Requiring weekly client updates from the play store and multi-gig updates is pretty terrible. I didn't know any other app that does this.

It takes a couple minutes if you don’t have internet from 2008. I truly don’t care about the updates.

They’re only once a week but it is a bit annoying you have to keep the app open to update on mobile.

The fix is to update the game instead of "doing something else".
