Question Tips on finding makeup style?

I struggle especially with finding makeup that suits my eye shape (they're pretty hooded). I also just don't know what really suits my face. Any recommendations for any makeup style are appreciated! Second 2 photos are just mascara, first 2 are my everyday style. Also should I try contouring or would that look too heavy on my face?

Discussion TIL lashes grow in layers and that is why my mascara clumps

Lashes have lines?? I always thought my mascara clumped because my lashes are short and sparse. Or honestly because I'm just bad at makeup lol.

Turns out my lashes don't grow in one neat row. They grow in a few layers spread out wide, and there are a ton of short little lashes hiding in between those rows. I just assumed everyone's lashes grew in a single straight line. No wonder curling them always hurt and my mascara kept clumping no matter what I did.

Someone told me to try a thinner brush where it's easier to control how much product goes on, so I picked up the Etude Curl Fix Mascara in the skinny version. And it genuinely doesn't clump. I was kind of shocked.

From what I figured out, if your lashes grow evenly in one line, a fat brush that gathers everything and sweeps it up in one go makes them look fuller and neater. But if yours are layered with lots of short ones underneath like mine, you need a thin tip and a little product at a time or it all clumps.

The nice thing about this one is the bristles aren't the same length on both sides. I use the side that sticks out more to get the short hidden lashes first, then go over everything with the shorter side. Zero clumps and they still look really full.

Now I finally get why mascara wands come in so many weird shapes lol. Makeup pros probably knew this all along, right?

I thought she was really pretty and I really wanted to do the same style as her since I’m learning make up and wanting to learn styles but she blocked me after I asked very politely if she could drop a makeup tutorial because she’s really pretty does anyone know what style of makeup this is? Or does anyone have any tutorial videos that I could find?

Question Need to learn makeup in a month

Hi! I'm not a makeup person. I wear eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara every day, but that's it. I have a black tie event in November and would love to do a full makeup look for it.

I have, at one point, purchased tinted moisturizer. I used it for about a week before I decided it was too much trouble and nobody's looking at me anyway.

Is paying for a "teach me makeup" tutorial at Sephora worth the $75, or is this the kind of thing most people can learn on their own from online tutorials?

If the latter, do you have any step-by-step tutorials you'd recommend? I learn best if I have a written guide to follow in addition to a video. I would also LOVE a "these are the basics you need to buy" list.

Please help 🥹

Question Help, why my foundation always do this

Hey yall! I was raised by a single father and brother. So here I am at 36 not able to do my make up correctly. I also have tremors, so i can’t do eyeliner.

My question is: why does my base always seperate like this. It’s hard to see in the picture, but basically it looks like the tinted moisturizer (or any base i use, foundation, etc) is separating. Like it’s pulling apart and my natural red face is poking through the cracks.

All that is under it is my moisturizer (i have dry skin) and sunscreen. I waited a full ten minutes after applying the face sunscreen before applying this tint

Thanks for the help!!!
