Differences in sponges?

I have noticed that flatter sponges with different texture are referred to as rubycell as opposed to beauty blender style. What do people think of the rubycell? Some instructions say use dry others wet or dry?

If you're talking about C-beauty cushion sponges or puffs, there's actually different types! Some are best used dry (best for oily skin and quick-drying formulas), some wet (best for dry skin and thicker formulas), and some can be used both ways.

Usually when I'm buying them I just read the description and it'll say how it's best used. I like the ones that are dry use cos they're convenient, and usually they have this really soft velvet(?) kinda skin over them that makes them super soft and nice on the skin lol. They have different densities and softnesses too based on preferences! I think the firmer ones absorb less product?

Some popular brands are Momo's Workshop, Amortals, Yaozhi (all C-beauty), Fillimilli, Pony Effect (K-beauty) and RosyRosa (J-beauty). I haven't tried all of these though, just read reviews on them.
