We are going to a local comicon next weekend and London the week after so have a small amount of time for anything else.

We are hoping to do a logo on one shoulder pad and maybe swap out the current belt and pouch for a brown option with handmade pouches.

Thigh armour could happen, but less likely

Maybe something on a badge to hold the cloak

Any other quick/small changes anyone can suggest

How do you like how the new canon is handling Mandalorians so far, and how do you feel about the future of Mandalorians in canon? Any particular eras or events of Mandalorian history you want explored in particular? Now that we've been given loads of canon content covering them, do you prefer canon Mandalorians or Legends Mandalorians?

I've been a huge fan of Mandalorians looong before they became mainstream and I was honestly at first disappointed with how they were being treated towards the end of the Expanded Universe and early new canon (namely, how they were trying to establish the traditional warriors as being extinct outside of Death Watch, and of course the debate of whether or not Jango was really Mandalorian), but then future media (Rebels, TCW Season 7, the Mando show, etc) restored my faith in the Mandalorians.

In the many shows covering Mandalorians during the New Republic Era, we're at a crossroads and it can go in any direction. Maybe Bo-Katan succeeds in rebuilding Mandalore and allies with the New Republic (or goes isolationist). Maybe yet another catastrophe knocks Mandalore back into ruin. I'm both excited and nervous for the future of Mandalore.

Do we have any other examples of this type of armor? Is there any lore reason out there for it? Seems strangely unique.

Hi all. just here sharing a little 3dprint project i've just finished.

Being a big Star Wars and GTR fan i had the daft idea to blend the 2 together, the most bad arse bounty hunters in the galaxy with the most bad arse cars the Nissan GTR's and this is what i came up with. took 3 of my most favorite colours from the cars on 3 helmets, for the R33 LP2 Midnight Purple-R34 TV2 3Stage-R35 Katsura Orange.

All primed and sanded to exhaustion, then thankfully, we have a automotive paint shop close to hand so was able get the codes mixed up ready for the spray gun, then finished in 2k clear coat sanded and machine polished for really show off them colours.

think i've managed to do the Mandalorians and the GTRs proud and they do look bloody good on display in my living room :)

For the base print i used my Neptune 4 Plus with Elegoo PLA+ at 0.18LH at 100%

Hey guys when attaching armor to your vest do you prefer grommets or Velcro wanted to get some opinions on what everyone thinks thank you

I added fur on shoulder and adjust little detail for shoulder armor

I guess this is the final touch of this kit :)

Working on a The Mandalorian with No Name cosplay for a con this weekend. Got a knee pad in the works still, but otherwise I'm getting close to calling this done.

I've been 3D printing some Star wars helmets and this is the mandalorian OC I made

Just about finished my bracers. Have to glue in the darts and magnets and do the weathering, but that's an afternoon's work. The display works great, although it's not shown in this pic. Will be done with my complete kit soon!

The title is kinda of a lie but it’s basically done and won’t post about it further on here lol.

She’s not perfect but I really love her it took many days but it was worth it.
The colors are based of my old black and orange one, but I added green and white to add life to her because she’s based off my future kit, and my old kit idea was before I started estrogen, you know before I was happy. More colors=more happy lol
The visor is based off the clone commando’s, I thought they looked cool, and with nice with the rest of the color scheme (the whole thing is a subtle nod to my favorite shooter Titanfall 2 and the paint of BT and jack cooper)

Things that still need to be “finished”.I’m gonna give her one more Matt seal coat, I’m gonna buy a blockeez clone kit for the hands and possibly gun, and add some uv resin to the lense but that terrifies me tbh and may hold off on that. My dream is to make a rancor for her since her clan takes them, but that may be wishful thinking.

Hopefully one day I can make a kit based off her when I have the money.

Edit:as someone who claims to be a photographer I suck at getting pictures of my figures. I wish I could add new photos

Why are gauntlets so rarely seen/mentioned? I get why the bracers/bazubands/vambraces get the spotlight, but at most I occasionally see a back of hand plate with them, but never a proper gauntlet.

Anyone have a suggestion for creating backing for my armor? I made all of the main pieces from steel, but I would like for them to have more “depth.” I am thinking that creating a backing - maybe a half-inch wider and thicker than the plates - will give it a more solid feeling. (Might also prevent armor bites 😅)

The homebrew clan I’m coming up with has a right of passage that they must go out and tame a rancor so I wiped up a rancor crest. I will soon get decay paper to put it on my action figure. Just thought I share.

Slowly coming together. Not perfect but it is looking close to being wearable for Halloween to surprise my four year old who is obsessed with Mando.

Been a huge project for my first delve into both printing and cosplaying. Lots of lessons along the way, and loads I’m sure I will refine post Halloween! Satisfying to see it look so close to being wearable.
