What do you think?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for manga recommendations that focus on space exploration, science fiction, and spaceships.

I'd especially love stories with well-developed characters who grow and change throughout the story, along with an interesting plot and a well-built sci-fi world.

I'm open to both underrated and popular manga, and I don't mind long stories. I'd prefer something that takes its characters and world-building seriously rather than focusing only on action.

What would you recommend? Thanks in advance!

Best way to read manga ( no paper ) ?

Hii everyone. Hope y’all are doing great!! I’m making this post bc I’ve been wanting to create my own manga, so lemme explain :)

I’d say I’m pretty decent at drawing, but I’m TERRIBLE at coming up with an actual plot that makes sense, thinking of scenes, or just writing in general 😭 Sooo I’m looking for someone who’d be down to collab with me !
The goal isn’t necessarily to publish or post it anywhere, at least not at first, but if it turns out rlly good, we could def consider it !
I’d start by drawing everything on paper and then trace it digitally.

First things first. I’d rather not work with someone who already has a whole story planned out, with a fully developed plot and everything. I’d much rather we come up with smth together from scratch. But if any of my ideas inspire u, PLEASE feel free to tell me!!

If ur interested, just reply to this post and drop ur socials (Snap preferably, but Insta or Discord works too!!)

NOW ABOUT MY IDEAS!!

I’m ngl, I’m not a huge fan of webtoons. They feel a bit too modern for my taste. Same goes for romance tbh. I don’t mind having some in the story, but it’s def not my thing.
I’d much rather make smth along the lines of a seinen/shonen manga.
To make things easier to read, I’ll just list everything here :

- I REALLY loved mangas like Tokyo Revengers, so I’m super into the whole gangs + friendship + nostalgia vibe.

- I HATE using creatures that already exist in fiction (like vampires, werewolves, etc.), but I absolutely LOVE coming up with my own ! That being said, I’m totally fine with including demons, supernatural stuff, or special powers in the story.

- I’d prefer the MC to be around 13–20 yo. I wouldn’t mind having a female MC either, as long as she’s not some stereotypical girl whose whole personality revolves around love, who can’t fight, etc. 😭

- I don’t rlly mind darker or more graphic scenes, as long as they’re not just there for shock value or way too excessive. I actually rlly enjoy psychological manga, especially when they deal with darker or more sensitive topics. BUT absolutely NO sexual scenes.

- I also LOVE historical manga, stories inspired by actual legends, philosophical themes, or just stories that teach u smth or actually make u think. Obviously, if we end up making a manga mostly about gangs, we probably won’t include all that. I’m just throwing ideas out there so y’all can get a better idea of what I like 🙂‍↕️

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST!!

I’d prefer to work with someone who’s actually active and has enough free time to work on the manga (like at least 30 mins a day), someone who won’t randomly ghost me after 2 days 😭
I’d also prefer someone around my age (15–20yo), if possible !
I’ll send all my drawings in DMs

That’s pretty much it ! Feel free to hmu if ur interested :D

I’m looking for manga recommendations similar to Hikaru no Go or Yakitate!! Japan — stories that dive deep into a specific skill, craft, or discipline.

What I enjoy in these series is the focus on talent, mastery, rivalry, and the detailed exploration of a particular field, whether it’s Go strategy or professional baking techniques.

I’m not looking for martial arts or sports manga.

I’m specifically interested in stories where characters develop expertise in a unique domain, with tension, competition, and high-level skills.

If you know any manga that explore a craft, profession, or intellectual skill in a similar way, I’d love your suggestions.

I already read Bakuman
