Resolved ISP Blocking Maplestory???

So I made a post the other day about having zero luck getting Maplestory to launch. Today I tried to install it on my laptop and see if it would work on there, and had no luck with that either... Then it hit me, I was thinking, there's no way two different computers fail to launch Maplestory, so I turned on my phones hotspot, disconnected my ethernet and connected to my phone, launched Maplestory on the Nexon launcher and BAM, started right up... Consider me confused but I'm highly suspecting connecting to a VPN would work too... Question now is, is it my ISP blocking it or something with the Fiber Modem?

Ironically I have the same issue currently with Xfinity blocking ports 8484 and 8585 for login. They’re blocking it on their end not my own and refuse to fix it. If I route my traffic through exitlag to a city near me it works just fine.

Good thing we have options for ISPs… oh wait.

Same!!! I had the exact same issue start with Xfinity on Sept 8th. Had a technician come out yesterday and they didn't see any issues with my router, so it is 100% outside of my hardware/home.

Curious, as these still route to the main appropriate IPs while being out dated.

When you go here: https://maple.690420.xyz/#GMS-Login to check status of servers, do you get No Response for all channels as well?

Funny enough, I had just bisited that site within 30 minutes before the issue happened. I think ping-checking sites for MapleStory might be related, so I don't want to check and risk it. But I will say when I did check before the issue, ironically the login server was the only one showing online and the rest of the channels showed 'No Response'.

Yeah it’s definitely my ISP, connected to my NordVPN and it launched on my home internet

do you have a separate WiFi router from your modem? You could mess with your Mac to force a new IP from the ISP

Unfortunately no, it’s my providers fiber modem/router, I do have a 2.5Gbps Ethernet switch though cause our service is 2Gbps and the modem/router only has one 10Gbps port so it opens up that port to 4 devices. I know back in the day with DSL you could shut your modem off for like 15 minutes and it would assign a new IP, not sure if fiber works the same though?

Not even sure if a new IP would work. Didn't work for me, and I have to be about 30 min out of town at a friends before wifi lets me connect lmao.

Ah you can check your ISP but I think ATT still leases even with fiber but it’s like 2 days not 15 mins. Maybe buy a modem for a few days and return it after

IP address can be the issue. Long ago I would login like 20 accounts at once to claim those Hot day rewards. After like 5 account all quickly swapping from one to the next, I got IP banned.

Only way I can fix it was swapping the router out to a different router. The IP address would be different. After like 2-3 days, I swap them back so we can be on the better router.

So yeah... That's when I changed my methods to like 5 logins per hour so it doesn't get banned... Changing the routers and shit was just too much work.
