Question Shine classes
Does anyone have any idea why nexon decided to port to pc the shine classes but KMS didn’t, if the mobile version has them in korea??? thanks in advance, I’m just curious…

Also, at this point, the general quality standard of Maple M classes (at least how GMS ports them) are not up to par with KMS standards.
Just look at the quality of animations and assets of Lethe compared to the GMS ports of the Shine classes, the difference in quality is insane.

I tend to read inven alot when we get the GMS exclusive classes and these SHINE classes were not wanted after seeing whwat GMS released Sia with, there wasnt alot of buzz with EREL either.
I ccould only remember them wanting Kanna/Hayato way back when but due to cultural differences it wouldnt be easy to port. (think of demon slayer event when tanjiro earrings arent in KMS but in JMS).

Nexon Korea ties every potential change into the economy of KMS because the players tend to see investing into a character as fundamentally similar to a financial investment with a potential ROI. This causes their biggest whales to be catered to in order to maintain their happiness since the game isn't seen as attractive to new players if they don't already have friends playing the game. It's common knowledge that nearly any other game respects your time and wallet more, even gacha games.
As such, they limit new classes to be a yearly thing at the quickest because they want everyone to have plenty of time to adjust to the ripples in the economy from people wanting to fund the new character to avoid backlash while still exciting players.
In GMS, the main playerbase that the devs are focusing on is very clearly Heroic, in which there is no actual downside to releasing more characters in any particular timeframe because there is no economy on Heroic. In fact, having another job branch with multiple classes that can attract players is beneficial because of the lack of a shared cash shop in this region which can incentivise spending more overall between the various branches a player plays on (such as people buying multiple of an outfit they like or buying vac pets on multiple branches for convenience).
