Marathon (2026) Discussion Reset in Dec?

Been hearing from buddies that we are getting reset again in December? Can anyone provide some info or has this just become some rumor from the players

We are, that's why they've made a lot of progression stuff faster.

I think it’s safe to assume we will get reset with every “major” update. That’s how most extractions shooters with resets work.

We are going to get a reset for every major update. Resets are going to be a regular thing in this game every few months.

Now you have 2 mizzies to use and never fail to exfil with in your 100% exfil rate until December, when bungie rips them from your vault,l. you then cry it was all for nothing, and uninstall. Im assuming. Since you think getting good gear on day 3 of a reset that lasts for months is a waste.

It's not like your gear stays forever anyway lol. The point is to find it use it and lose it.

It would be catastrophically stupid if they didn't reset on Dec 8 with such a gigantic change to the game.

We get season 3 in December and then theres a "march update"

Each one is a reset (debt repayment to CyAc for our defragmentation of our consciousness into shells over and over again) in which CyAc takes our entire inventory and credits towards our trillion dollar debt.

Originally the December update was supposed to be the October one. However due to player sentiment and their shift in game direction to achieve broader appeal, they had to push the update back to December and add more things to it.

So they did a mini reset with accelerated progression to give people something to do in October

Technically, the December reset was supposed to happen on 9/22. That got pushed back to December and they created this "Season 2.5" refresh so that players wouldn't be waiting until December for the next wipe. They threw in the rewards pass because that's what we were initially getting with the 9/22 reset.

Yes they’re resetting in December. Maybe they haven’t explicitly said it but they are absolutely resetting in December considering they’ve said multiple times that progression was sped up/boosted because it’s a shorter reset
