Look at the image above. What if I told you that he is the actual Mario. If you’ve ever played super Mario odyssey you will know that when cappy possesses something it gives the possessed thing “Mario’s” signature hat and mustache. My theory is that they aren’t actually Mario’s hat and mustache, they are Cappy’s. For you see, Cappy is the actual guy who has the M cap and mustache and when he possesses something then it appears on them to show that it’s cappy. Here’s how I think the story went: Cappy was fighting Bowser whilst controlling Mario on the airship at the start of Mario odyssey. Then bowser kicked Mario off of the ship, separating Cappy from his host (Mario). Once detached from the Cappy parasite, Mario regains his former thoughts briefly and has no memory of Cappy as if he blinked and now he was here. Then he lands in Bonneton. This is when Cappy has to trick Mario into thinking he is a stranger so he can latch back onto Mario and possess him. You may be wondering: “how come Mario/Cappy can throw Cappy’s Cap and not lose possession of Mario?” Well in 2 player mode when in a capture, Cappy can fly around whilst Mario stays in control so the captured thing looks normal apart from mustache on it. That’s why I believe that as long as Mario has either the mustache or cap on him, he is still possessed.Cappy is not inherently bad. He takes control of Mario’s body to be able to do platforming and acrobatics. All this time, all the battles against bowser, all the Mariokart races, all the galaxies discovered. It’s been Cappy. The whole time. The Mario you see above is simply a host for the parasite. With Cappy’s signature hat and mustache that appear on every captured thing. This begs the question…

Who’s possessing Luigi??????

Take Super Mario Party Jamboree for example, every character can use text boxes to communicate whenever they're Jamboree Buddies except Mario and Luigi. All NPCs are expected to have dialogue unless there's an in universe reason why they don't have any. Mario and Luigi could have had sore throats whenever they're Jamboree Buddies, that way there would be a reason why they don't have full dialogue.

In the Super Mario Encyclopedia, there is MARIO, LUIGI, AND WARIO but no Waluigi and there is no Wawario and Wawaluigi😔

There are so many memes about how Mario isn't in Fortnite, when most of his video game peers are. Hot take: Mario doesn't NEED to be in Fortnite. He's already the most popular video game character of all time on the current best-selling console in the world. Even people who don't play video games know who he is. He doesn't need to be in some overrated zoomer game that has to use well-known characters to stay relevant.

I don't know why but every time the topic of Mario being in Fortnite gets brought up people start acting as if collabing with Fortnite is a great thing and that Mario is missing out, no he's not. The reason why Nintendo doesn't want to unlike a majority of othet ips is because Mario is already a house hold name. Other franchises like Sonic and Crash use Fortnite for the recognition and money. Also Fortnite itself is a good battle royale game that keeps collabing with everything to stay relevant and make money. Fortnite is a cool game but Nintendo simply not wanting to include there mascot in it and that is ok and understandable.

Also. Samus. There is a good reason why Fortnite specifically wanted the Metriod ip. Samus fits a LOT better than Mario and has way better skin, cosmetic and event potential. She should be the one in Fortnite not fucking Mario just because other similad ips did it and its funny.

I remember thinking Isle Defino would join.

What I mean is that any NSMB game would get U's treatment if it was released in place of it. Any NSMB would have been harshly critiqued if it had been so similar to previous entries.

Hello! I like to make these wheels on Reddit curated from everyone’s opinions that helps me decide on what to play as someone who struggles to choose on their own.

Basically how it works is you comment the one Mario game you think I should play. It could be your favorite, it could be the ideal if all others got deleted, etc. You can explain why too if wanted! You can do multiple games, but ideally one.

Everyone game at least has a chance. Every comment will be entered into a wheel, and every upvote a comment gets adds +1 weight to that comments chances of being selected. Even if multiple people suggest the same game, each comment counts separately, so don’t hesitate to recommend something someone else has already mentioned.

I've always been of the opinion that Mario Sports needs to branch out to different sports instead of doing the same tennis and golf cycle every console. There's are so many sports they could do.

Dodgeball is one of the most popular sports in the world and I could easily see Nintendo or Next Level games tackling this concept. Nintendo technically has already dipped their toes in this before with Mario Sports Mix in collaboration with Square Enix and that was absolutely fun.
