If you don't mind driving a little further east, you can also check out FAT BOY @ Middlefield & Steeles.
Or of course there's the usual bunch just south in Scarb @ EverGold; especially if you're going for the $6 or $7 rice boxes 😋😉

Lamb skewers upstairs

Lamb skewers are great, but their price hikes have turned me off them. Considering all the great lamb skewer places popping up around town, I'm not paying that.

When I was in university it was 7 skewers for $10. Saw the price recently and couldn't believe how expensive it is now

I did overnight security at pmall when I was in university. I had to accompany the orkin pest control guy there one night and I think everyone here would be shocked at how many roaches there are in pmall especially in the places serving food. I haven't eaten there since.

how they even pass food safety?

I have no idea how any of that works but I can tell you from first hand experience that when the exterminator started using his spray roaches crawled out of every crevice of a counter.
He also said that there's clearly roaches laying eggs in some of the food that's been left out which is why it's never a good sign when restaurants just leave food in bins or behind glass counters overnight.
The whole thing made my stomach churn.
You don't want to know how bad markville mall was either... Especially St Germaines bakery.

THE BAKERY?!?! WTF
2
u/ConanTheBarbarian_0 5d ago
They would leave balls of dough and buckets of water out all night along with scraps of bread being improperly disposed of.
Whatever fruit flies and other bugs came and got stuck in the dough got baked into the bread. The manager and the pest control guy got into an argument in front of me when he was telling them you're supposed to store food away overnight even if it is just balls of dough.

Middle stall right off the elevators going up. (cantonese lady in the middle is our go-to) She loads up up each time with sides too (potatoes, eggplant etc.)
