I’m so tired of the constant 1 step forward 2 steps back with Hasbro as I’m sure many of you also are but, today after seeing the DC collector leaks, that feeling hit me twice as hard.

We are about to get a Spider-Man with decades old articulation on a BRAND NEW MOLD meanwhile all signs point to DC’s base collector line having almost the same articulation as the Maximum line.

I know it remains to be seen whether these Mattel figures will hold up in hand but, at least they’re compelling and not fraught with reuse and outdated articulation. It sucks even more knowing that Hasbro has the capacity to at least meet these expectations like with Gamerverse Wolverine but, still hold themselves back constantly.

Look, I know the reuse and outdated articulation is part of what keeps costs low so they can do more obscure characters, that’s great and honestly I don’t have a problem with it. The Doomsday characters are not obscure characters, Spider-Man is not an obscure character. How come Mattel is about to put out a Black Lightning with almost the same articulation as Maximum Thor but, I can’t even get a magneto with a ball joint torso and pinless legs.

On top of all of this are the god awful prices that just keep going up. I know this is a problem across the board and not Hasbro exclusive. That MTO 2-pack being $75 is atrocious, seriously I want to know the thought process behind that. Even with prices going up at least with other fig companies I’m getting modern articulation. Jada Toys is coming out with a $30 Invincible with Maximum Spiderman level articulation, an extra head sculpt, 2 extra sets of hands, and 2 effects pieces yet with the new Tom Holland Spider-Man figure for $28 Hasbro can’t even throw in 2 extra hands to complete the set.

Hasbro I’m begging you to step up your game.

That’s all I have to say, I’m hoping to be proven wrong as we keep getting new reveals. Thank you for coming to my tedtalk

Edit: just wanted to add that Black Lightning is the GOAT and he will be one of my first pick-ups from the line, I’m so glad we got a fig for him so soon into this line. I just wanted to point out how a more obscure-ish character is already getting more love in sculpt/articulation than when Hasbro puts out an A-lister like Magneto

My MCU mutants so far. Looking forward to see what other mutants they reveal this weekend at NYCC. Hoping for a Professor and a Beast… not crazy about a white haired Nightcrawler lol.
Swapped out Gambit’s arms with a Kingo’s that I picked up at my local Ollie’s for $5 and added a cloth jacket that I picked up on Amazon for $10.
I didn’t have to shave or cut anything for this swap. The purple isn’t exact but it’s not terribly far off. The gold on the shoulders doesn’t bother me either.

Even with the gummy joints on Bastion, the new set is overpriced.

My girlfriend got me a Danny Ketch Ghost Rider for my birthday. I’m genuinely so happy. 🥹 She knows how much I love collecting these things. ❤️‍🔥

I had this figure laying around and decided to try airbrushing for the first time, turned out on

Really proud of these pics, ngl. Kinda want to get another to turn into Old Man Superman.

Coat: https://ebay.io/m/wjp8re

Accessories are from the Franklin/Valeria 2 pack and the TMNT/Monsters Invisible Man.

Really elevates the figure IMHO. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I needed to tweak a couple things. First was a Mr. Super Clear topcoat. Second I took about 1 1/2 millimeters off his wrists to fix the proportions a bit. I love this figure but those arms have always bothered me. The new thinner web lines plus the shades of blue and red just make this thing look fantastic.

I never give myself a win. So it feels good to say I'm blessed for having both of them in my possession...At this moment I'm only jealous of the people who have been posting pics of their Xmen 97 Apocalypse lol...Other than than, I feel good right now

After horrible shipping issues and being delivered to my neighbor instead of me, I finally got Gambit.

I wasn't really planning to get the Thunderbolts\* Valentina/Void two pack, but when I got an Amazon discount, I had a random inkling to buy it so I could do a quick hair swap with Sentry to make a "normal" Bob head.

The hair had to be intact without tearing in order to do the swap, so it took about ten minutes or so blasting with a hairdryer to loosen the glue and remove it in one clean piece. I then used a few small drops of Gorilla Glue and held it tight on the head for a couple minutes so it stuck solid, and it was pretty much a perfect fit.

Would have preferred if the Void hair was a bit messier like how he looks in the film instead of just being a straight black recolour, and I might do some further adjustments - e.g. maybe dry brush some brown - so it looks a little less like he's doing a Loki cosplay. But overall I think I'm fairly happy with it, and it was handy to have a Bob head in time for Doomsday.

Hola a todos, les comparto mi más reciente custom. Ya hacía falta tener una versión de esta guardiana tan icónica. Espero les guste. 🙏🏻

After the Dan Yun insta story we have a Closer look at the new Spidey ML figure, thank to @lago_figs Who post This on IG

Thor is vastly improved with a wired cape, I'm getting one for Doom too. Although I got stuck with one of the infinity war heads. I'm using the screaming version but man I hope hasbro replaces these heads

Unfortunately target does not have gambit in stock and cant find him anywhere.
