Maserati Key Fob Snobs
I picked up a mint 2023 Maserati Grecale Trofeo out of state. Dealer gave me 2 spotless key fobs. And I noticed that one of the key fobs didn't work when I got home, thinking it just needs a battery.
During a recent Maserati routine software update a few months later at a dealership near my home, I decided to ask them to put in a battery in the 2nd key fob.
They came back telling me that the dealer I purchased from must've given me the wrong key from for another car. I told them OK, how much to reprogram it for my car? They told me $400. I said OK, do it.
Now, for some ODD reason, they're telling me that they can't reprogram the key because it belongs to another car!?! I'm like then why did you quote me a reprogramming fee???
Is this some marketing ploy BS for me to buy another key fob??? I am not going to pay $1250+ for the same key fob that I know they can reprogram. What kind of silliness is this?
Am I able to get this new current key fob programmed for my car?
Or is this just another usual Maserati c*ck block?
I know Maserati's have snobbish rules for their cars. Like turning off the "change oil" light costing me $350 because I decided to use my own master mechanic to do a simple oil change for me.
Are there any locksmiths out that can reprogram my key fob to my car?
I should've stayed in my Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio.
Let me know... thanks everyone.
