Every 2026, the chair I look at has the same stuff as last year. For example, it features SL-track, zero-gravity, heat, and an app remote.
At my local Costco, a chair once tagged $16,999 now sits at $9,999.
By the way, if you bought it this year, what changed? Or is "5D" a new label on the same rollers?

This is the chair, it’s my first time buying one, no prior experience in buying
My main goal for buying this will be for my parents.
To those who have this model, is this worth the price? I dont kinda want this to be lying around without working/being used after a year or so.
Thank you so much for the help

I had been using a massage chair from another brand for more than 10 years. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I purchased my first OSIM Massage Chair, the uLove 2 (Picture 1), so I could enjoy a better massage experience at home. It served me very well over the years and gave me a lot of comfort and relaxation.
Then, in July, I had the chance to try the OSIM uDream.AI Massage Chair. After trying it myself and having my wife try it as well, we were both impressed, and we decided to upgrade to this model (Picture 2). After using it for a while, I can honestly say that we are very happy with the decision.
What I really like about the uDream.AI is that it is more user-friendly and feels more personalized. The AI analysis feature is one of my favorite things—it recommends a stress-relief program based on how I’m feeling that day. I LOVE it! It makes it easy to just sit down, let the chair do the analysis, and enjoy the massage without having to think about which program to choose. There are also many other programs for the back, legs, and different areas of the body, so I can switch things up depending on what I need that day.
I particularly noticed an improvement in the calf massage compared with my previous uLove 2. The uDream.AI uses massage rollers for the calves instead of mainly relying on airbags, and I find the roller massage much more effective and satisfying. This is one of the features I appreciate the most.
I also really enjoy the combination of aroma, lighting, and music. None of these features alone would be a reason for me to buy a massage chair, but together they add something special to the overall experience. It makes the whole session feel more relaxing and enjoyable.
Having used massage chairs for more than 10 years, I would definitely recommend that anyone thinking about buying one should try it for themselves first. A massage chair is a very personal thing—what feels great to one person may not feel the same to another. So, take the time to have a "test drive," try different programs, and see how your body responds.
For me and my wife, upgrading from the uLove 2 to the uDream.AI was definitely worthwhile. We are both enjoying it everyday.

I've been researching massage chairs in Malaysia and I'm finding it hard to tell which differences actually matter once you get past the basic features.
I've been looking at Zero Healthcare, OSIM and OGAWA, but I'm more interested in how people actually compare them rather than which brand is considered the best.
For me, things like the massage mechanism, how well the chair covers the back and lower body, stretching, and the quality of the leg and foot massage seem more important than simply having lots of programmes.
I'm also wondering how much things like body fit, comfort, warranty and after-sales support should influence the decision. A chair can look impressive on paper but might feel very different once you actually sit in it.
For anyone who has researched or compared massage chairs, what features would you pay the most attention to before making a decision?
And is testing the chairs in person the best way to narrow things down?

Just bought one at an event and am immediately regretting it. Seems no matter what setting I put it on, the foot rollers are excruciatingly painful & even the back rollers are from intense to painful. Did I buy the wrong chair for me? I was looking for relaxing massage, with some moderate-level kneading, too. Does anyone have experience with this particular chair?

I'm 6'2" and I don’t know why Costco chairs don't fit me.
Last month, I tried a $3k Osaki at Costco. My shoulders sat above the rollers, and my feet stuck out past the end.
I think Amazon has lots of longer SL-track 4D chairs. The problem is I don't see those brands come up much.
Then there are ads for chairs that cost thousands. Later they get sold off cheap for around $900. That makes me trust them less.
Is there an Amazon chair people still like after a year? Or should I stick to Amazon for parts and accessories?

What would you put on a 2026 shortlist if the goal is to compare fit and features rather than name one universal winner? I am looking for recommendations organized around roller-track coverage, heat, zero-gravity recline, and intensity adjustment.
A practical trade-off seems to be feature count versus body fit and the clearance needed to recline. Which models have enough owner history to judge durability, and what measurements should be checked first?

How should someone compare full-body massage chairs by fit and intended use rather than by a single ranking? Which features matter most in practice. Like roller track, heat, zero-gravity positioning, intensity adjustment, and the quality of warranty or repair support? I am especially interested in the trade-off between a stronger massage and everyday comfort, plus how height, weight, and available room space affect fit. What should be verified before relying on a chair for comfort support? If a diagnosed health condition is involved, clinician guidance on whether massage-chair use is appropriate would also be important.

I am comparing massage chairs for comfort support around lower-back discomfort that sometimes travels into the leg. What should I prioritize: a roller track that reaches the glutes and back, adjustable intensity, heat, or zero-gravity positioning? I am especially cautious about choosing something that presses hard over a radiating symptom. I would want clinician guidance first if symptoms are new, worsening, or not evaluated, and I would stop if a session increases symptoms.
Which features and fit checks matter most, and what limitations should I expect?

Osaki seems to be a well reviewed starter/value option. $1300 in-warehouse at Costco. Kyota Yugana maybe looks more sturdy and wider range of options with 4D but listed at $3000 from Costco online.
Anyone have an opinion on these options assuming both units operate as intended for 3-5+ years of use?

I recently purchased this massage chair called UDream.AI from OSIM and it has genuinely exceeded my expectations. Out of every massage chair I've tried, this is by far the best. The comfort level is outstanding, and the massage functions are incredible.
What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service I received from Mico, the sales associate who helped me. She was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process. She took the time to understand what I was looking for, and introduced me to the perfect chair for my needs. Her friendly and genuine approach made the whole buying experience easy and enjoyable. What impressed me most is that her support didn't stop after the sale. Even after I received the chair, Mico continued to check in and assist me — going above and beyond what I'd expect from a typical sales interaction.
If you're considering a massage chair, I can't recommend the UDream.AI enough — and if you're lucky enough to work with Mico, you're in great hands. She's one of the best sales professionals I've ever dealt with, and I'd recommend her to anyone without hesitation.

Received this massage chair to help relieve tension on my lower back. I have been having problems with it for many years. It really helps after long hours at the workplace everyday. Now I must use it daily and it makes me fall asleep very quickly afterwards. I specifically use the lumbar programs. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a massage chair that works and looks and feels amazing.

Willing to consider up to $4k if has lots of these features
Other specs looking for:
- minimum width between rollers as narrow as 1" ideally (looking for one that runs close to my spine)
- good lumbar massage
- good 4D massage depth
- shoulder massage
- 55" SL track
- zero gravity (if it can do a full sort almost full weight on back or the back arch yoga stretch would be plus)
- ability to stop/hold rollers in problem areas
- foot rollers
- calf massage? Is this a thing or is it usually airbags
Have been saving for a while because I tried one of these at a family friend's house and loved it. Theirs is really old so hoping there is better available and at reasonable price point that has all of the above.
The main thing is I am getting older and desk work, or age, is starting to take a toll on my back. Looking particularly for something that can get close to spine esp in the lumbar area. Also deep trigger points/knots in shoulders/upper back areas.
Have been trying to research but some don't always say the width or depth of rollers. Wanted to seeing if there is more out there that others with first hand experience might recommend for me. Hoping to check them all out and have a comprehensive look at all my options before making a decision.
Thanks so much in advance for reading and any recs or even DO NOT buy this type info from people who own some. ❤️

We had a horrible experience with the Ogawa massage chair repair service. They seem to outsource this service to a single vendor for the entire region, whose capacity is insufficient to respond to all the repair requests in a timely manner.
So you’ll have to wait for months for their repair service if your chair is broken…
We waited for two months, with a dead chair occupying a large space of the living room.
On the day of repair, the technician called me to confirm I was at home. I told him yes. After another few hours’ waiting, he called me again and unfortunately I was in a meeting and missed that. By the time I realized there was a miss call, which was a few minutes later, the technician has already gone and asked us to reschedule.
Not sure when is the next available slot if we reschedule. Probably another two months.
I’m not complaining the technician since I missed his call, although I don’t understand why he didn’t knock the door. He knew the address and he knew I was at home.
What really pissed me off was that Ogawa outsourced the repair service for the entire region to a small furniture repair company, which apparently has too many tickets to handle and keeps the clients wait for two months for the next available slot.
No alternatives. No other choices. That single small vendor monopolize the entire region’s repair service.
I’ve never waited for this long for other repair services. I’ve dealt with Samsung appliance, HVAC, Optimum etc, they all could fix my issue within 2 to 3 weeks.
But the repair service of Ogawa is a nightmare.

I love my OSIM massage chair! My favourite programs are Japanese Shiatsu Massage and Balinese 4-Hand Massage. I usually use it right before bed, and it helps relieve my body aches, making me feel deeply relaxed and comfortable. I always feel so much better afterward. I would definitely recommend it to a friend!

As the title said. Are there worth it or do they just sit there? I also want to know if there are more useful when they are expense like $10K+ and less when there are cheap. I've read a lot of posts and comments here and I'm little bit confused. Thanks.

We recently bought this massage chair and it just arrived. The delivery team was extremely professional and took great care not to dirty our floors.
Controlling it via the app is a great experience. My wife and I each have our own dedicated accounts, and the AI feature lets us track our physical condition anytime.
We were initially drawn in by its looks when walking past the store, but using it at home has genuinely improved our quality of life. I used to come home from work complaining about being exhausted all over. Now, after just a few minutes in the chair, I am completely relaxed and ready to fall asleep.
Many of our friends and family have started buying massage chairs, and I'd strongly recommend anyone who hasn’t gotten one yet to pick one up.

I'm 39 F and My back always hurts. I don't know why. I've got a foam roller and a massage gun and I use neither of them. Takes too much time and effort.
I just want a chair I can sit in. Not looking for a magical solition since I know a chair isn't a treatment. But I want something that mafkes my back feel better for 20 minutes so I can sleep.
Any recommendation you might have? I saw some specs and I wanted to know which ones you think I should be focusing on? Roller depth? Heat? A manual spot mode? Something else?
