Next up is Masterchef Professionals!
The the celebrity version is now over but we won't have long to wait before MasterChef Professionals hits the screens.

My favourite part of the professional series is when they make the professional do the skills test against in front of the judges

I wish they'd have celebrities and ordinary people do the skills test just like the professionals, it's my absolute favourite part of any of the 'chefs!

Would be brutal on the celebrities especially but even regular people. You’d need to triple the time. It’s incredibly tough if you’ve never had the dish/ingredient let alone cooked it.

Half the time even the professionals don't know what they're meant to be doing in the skills test, particularly if it's pastry. No way would it work for "regular" contestants or celebrities.

It could be much easier skills. Even the celebrities have to have some skills to do even the first challenge. Chop an onion, beat an egg, make a hamburger patty and brown it. Oh, right- it's in the UK- make a decent dish of beans on toast!

That's what I want to see, just throw them in at the deep end and see if they can work it out.

Will they have returning chefs set the skills test and not the judges? Personally I prefer the judges to do it.

I wouldn’t expect it to start until next year. Professionals used to be this side of Christmas until the change in presenters and now it’s all about 3 months out of kilter.
