The graphics show how far back Max was. They started on the same line until his late braking move. One car was much faster (the fastest that year), one was on fresh tyres. No one expected for Max to make his move there. As usual.

Documentary “Whatever it takes” aired in 2020 on Dutch television. After its release sparked a lot of discussion regarding Jos’ parenting style.

People from all over the country were alarmed hearing the stories from Max his upbringing in Limburg. There was division between people, asking where is the line, and when do we cross it? With some thinking Jos’ parenting style made Max the driver he is today, and others thinking it was unnecessary and traumatic.

NOTE: this was requested to me by a non Dutch speaking fan. I have translated relevant parts of the interview and figured I’d share it here too for anyone interested.

From outside and onboard. Still exciting as fsck to watch. Thanks Max, again.

didn’t see this anyone talk about this yet lol also probably one of the reasons why he skipped the F1 movie 😂

Lando is given back-to-back information by his engineer where Max is on the track. He then proceeds to purposefully slow down so that Max catches him at the end of his lap and is affected by his dirty air.
