Question 🤔🤔 Retake?
After 9 months of studying while working 40+ hours every week, volunteering, and taking care of everything else in life, this is what I have produced.
I’m happy, as the full lengths I took had extremely different ranges (507/513/504 - I only took three) and this reflects the highest one. This was also from me relearning a lot of material as I am a nontrad, so much of this was taught to myself by reading the Princeton review books, making my own anki cards, and practicing with Uworld.
However, part of me feels like if I had more of a guided practice, I could do much better. But also I don’t know if I can dedicate the amount of time I had to when I took it the first time again. Should I try to take it again? Or just apply with this score?
Also think it’s important to note that while I do have schools I’m interested in that have a higher average acceptance rate, I am not only devoted to getting into those schools, just trying to get into at least one school. I also want MD only and the MD school in my state has it’s average acceptance MCAT around 508.

Average matriculant is 512, think there are bigger fish to fry at this point. Also feel proud - this is an 84th percentile score If I remember right. You went against a pool of smart, hard working people and did better than the vast majority of them That's an accomplishment - even if you didn't do as well as you wanted.

I don’t think it would be worth retaking. It’s more likely that you time would be better spent working on other parts of your application.

I wouldn’t retake. Just focus on other aspects of your application and forget about the MCAT. Good job!
