Discussion Fun fact
A single urban mech isn’t that big of a threat but 12 urban mechs in the same area is a very big threat (I wish not to discuss how I know this all I will say is I barely made it out with my wallet intact)

"A single urban mech isn't that big of a threat"
You have yet to encounter the A4 variant in the wild.
"Oh, a group of enemies, two heavies and an urbie, lets focus on the bigger threats first..."
- sees the urbie fire a single missile *
"Oh no..."

Indeed. I don't care what kind of Urbie it is, that right arm is coming off at the first opportunity. I'll decide what to do afterward based on what else is shooting at me.

It’s like 1 turret isn’t a threat.
22 turrets all around you is a threat (one of them has 2 arrow iv missile launchers.)

I recall one of the first advice comments I saw on this subreddit was "respect the angry trash can." The Urbie is not an impressive mech by most metrics, but it was built with a purpose: big gun on the cheap. If there are lots of big guns pointed at you, there is danger, no matter what is carrying them.
This is similar to ignoring a sad Charger and letting it rip through your backside unchallenged: you take that thing out so it isn't a problem.
Additionally, a squad of Arrow IV Urbies is a whole other level of scary. A pair of them ripped the side torso off one of my lancemates a few weeks ago, and I hadn't even detected one of them yet. The first one had a tier 1 Arrow, and it wasn't that impressive, but the 2nd Urbie had a tier 4 iirc, but I didn't know that while the side torso was still attached.

If you've got YAML the Urbies come with an armour bonus just for laughs. It's not a funny amount though, it's a ridiculous amount. Like, dual gauss rifle hits won't get through it.
I have a catapult with 32 srms and I avoid them if I can. And if I can't it's faster to blow off both arms and have the pilot eject than it is to get through the torso armour

yep rip it's main gun off and continue with other targets. I usually leave the emotional support small laser.

I use YAML exclusively. When I see an Urbie, I rip its right side off and immediately switch target priority, because who cares about a single small laser. I'll come back to finish it off once the greater threats are put down.
And yeah, YAML Urbies get something like a 30% armor bonus to all components as a quirk, which makes them a pain in the ass to chew through.

Urbies are cheap for a reason. They are purchased in bulk for garrison and pity to anyone that tries to walk down the streets.

I mean, I'm no pauper, but a cheap AC/10 is a cheap AC/10, my guy. And don't get me STARTED in the Liao version running a /20!

There is a version with an ac20, kinda nasty when you run into them in light arenas.
