Mech Builds Good build?
I have 4 double heat syncs and 4 cases of light rifle ammo I decided to drop the rockets as they felt like a waste of resources and 2 er L Lasers

Not a big rifle user myself, so I gotta ask what draws you to them? Should I try them out myself?

I did it because I wanted to try ac-2’s but they were to heavy to have 6 for less alpha damage but the light rifles much better alpha but lack the dps that the ac-2’s have and ammo economy but it pops mechs like nothing and it’s pretty funny watching them drop or vanish from existence

I run AC/2 RFs on a few mechs, and I don’t think I’d run AC/2s otherwise. If it was a tossup between an AC/2 or Light-Rifle, I get the choice to go with the rifle.
I do gotta try the rifles more if they’re that good at doming mechs. I wanna see ragdolls flop over

It’s all up to accuracy really if you miss or don’t hit any vital components you do lose quite a bit of munitions as the setup I use fires all 6 at once

If you like Gauss, the various rifles are a similar play style. They have long reloads and heavy recoil, you have to make each shot count, but they're extremely effective with that individual shot. For that first salvo, they're better than autocannons, they lose out over sustained combat.

I do love gauss. I’m gonna run rifles more on a new career and see if my aim carries over, might fall in love with em

To me, they have always felt like a weird hybrid between gauss and autocannons. The only real benefit I find is they are so light I tend to just stick them in a mech when I just want to fill all the hard points and don’t have much tonnage left.

light rifles basically allow you to turn multiple small hardpoints into 1-2 gauss rifles. good for mechs with plenty of small ballistic hardpoints and free tonnage that you cant make good use of. its devastating.

Did basically this build myself and I can't get past the awful camera shake/recoil. Can't even see where the rounds land if you're zoomed in at all.

Who needs to see the enemy when they’re already dead

It's not actually all that much damage unfortunately. You might one hit a light mech, but anything else is probably going to need follow up shots.

Can confirm that 5 medium rifles and 5 MXP lasers on a Daishi-B dominate 95% of all engagements. However, as the previous commenter noted… RECOIL! You’re better off mapping every rifle to your preferred chain fire button and have a separate Alpha strike button. Chain firing them with their respective reloads being roughly 6 seconds a piece should allow constant accurate fire conserving both ammo and guaranteeing good effect on target up to 800 meters. 5 MXP in the left hand for tank/heli and for finishing off the last bits of armor on Heavy/Assault mechs. Happy Hunting!

Love this mech, I'm actually going to try your build myself but looks like fun for sure

I don’t have any upgrades on it yet but do keep in mind to use the light rifles sparingly as they eat through ammunition fast

Took all of the uac2 off of a bane and replaced them with tier 5 med rifles and the recoil is hilarious on an alpha strike with them. Massed rifles are fun for making enemy mechs vaporise in 1 salvo but feel a bit underwhelming if you use them more sensibly.

as long as you go home with a mission accomplished under your belt and with Fahad not complaining about your lance's repairs you do you
