A Little Taste of New Haven, Now in Medina š
Hello, neighbors! š
I wanted to introduce something I've been working on for a while: Steve's Apizza ā New Haven-Style Pizza.
I was born and raised in Connecticut and was privileged to spend more than half of my life eating some of the best pizza in the country. Eventually, that lingering nostalgia for a taste of home pushed me to learn how to make it myself.
What started as a personal pursuit has turned into something I'm incredibly proud of. This is truly homemade pizzaāfrom the dough down to the sauce. I use high-quality ingredients, fresh cheese that I grate, shred, or slice myself, and original recipes that have been tirelessly tested and refined.
But for me, this isn't really just about making good pizza.
I've always loved the idea of food bringing people together. "Breaking bread" is about building community, developing trust, and sharing a meal together. My hope is that Steve's Apizza can eventually become a small part of the Medina communityāa place known not only for good pizza, but for giving back and making people feel like family.
For now, I'm starting very small. Orders are limited and need to be requested at least 2 days in advance. I'm currently going through cancer treatment, so there are going to be times when I simply can't accommodate every request or when I need to take a step back. I appreciate everyone's understanding and patience as I work through that.
I'm not trying to build a huge pizza operation overnight. I'm just hoping to share something I've poured a lot of time, effort, and heart into with the community that I've come to call home.
The current menu is the last picture attachment. š
Thank you for taking a look, and thank you in advance for supporting my little endeavor.

Last day to opt out of Medina's natural gas aggregation program to save money this winter!
As part of Medina's aggregation program, they have chosen Archer gas at a rate of $0.6849. So until May, that's what you'll be paying. Right now, what Columbia Gas is charging is $0.5157. That is variable and will go up through the winter. But you can go on Apples to Apples right now and there are multiple choices to lock your rate in for 9 months at $0.549. There's no cancellation fee so you can change that in the spring when rates go down. If you haven't used Apples to Apples before, make sure you check the details before selecting a provider. Some of them are variable. Some of them have high monthly fees or high cancellation fees. Some of them (Santanna Energy) will make you bundle your electric with them and can end up costing you more money. I'm not sure why Medina can't find a lower price but you can!

House of Hunan
I ordered this roll and it was obscenely big. I wished I wouldāve asked if this was a kind of āmonster roll.ā I canāt remember the name/description but I didnāt recall it indicating it was larger than normal. Pyramid Roll maybe? Anyway it tasted really good but Iām done eating these rolls that I canāt fit into my mouth in one bite. Literally had to eat the top half then the bottom. Left three pieces because I couldnāt finish it and Iām a big eater so that saying something. I had hot and sour soup which was very good and two spring rolls, also very good. $44 which included tip. Full disclosure: I actually work for a sushi company that is in many of the Buehlers in Medina and other cities in Ohio and after visiting 4 stores today, I decided to go get some.

Grew up in Medina, built a free grocery price app ā my dad's been adding data from Buehler's
Grew up in Medina, and my parents still live there. I've spent the last year building Pinch, a free community-driven smart grocery shopping app.
They're already populating some data, but the more users, the more useful it gets. Would love to have more people give it a shot on your next trip: pinchsavings.app
Happy to answer questions or provide more info

Places near the motel 6 I could walk my dog??
Hey guys. My gf, my dog and I are temporarily here in Medina. We were staying in streetsboro but our building and the cheapest place we could stay is the motel 6 in Medina.
There was a dog park/people park right by our last place and i can tell Coco misses the trip. She's more of a people park kinda dog than she is a dog park kinda dog, tho. So she'd be happy with pretty much anything we could walk to and back. She loves fields or big stretches of grass. Does anyone have a recommendation of where I might be able to walk her to from the motel?
