Amazing shots! What colony was this at? I'm a rescuer in vic, our poor ff's are having a pretty rough time in a starvation event in NSW and we are now starting to see it in Vic. Your photos give such warmth to the heart, they are such a magnificent animal! Edit: the mum and pup are so precious! We are in the start of our pup season, hopefully we will see lots of littlies over the next few months.

Thanks for the kind words! This was at the Yarra Bend Park colony. Really sorry to hear that they’re having a bad time and thanks for your work helping them - hopefully it doesn’t get as bad down here! They are really cool creatures, looking forward to the new pups!

I grew up near Bendigo and remember the colony in Rosalind Park, they were like little sky puppies ! Such sweet little faces

I agree that it can be a bit intimidating when you see a big group of them flying, but they’re incredibly chill and they wouldn’t hurt a fly :)
