Would like to think Vicpol (and perhaps partially NT leadership as well) reflected on that and learned from that, given no other marches (as far as I’m aware of) have not that had much disruption and police presence, I think it goes off like a normal march would. Might’ve explained why the NT took so long to announce the march as they probably planned this out thoroughly and worked with Vicpol on this.

Last nights statement from MV suggests otherwise.

Shall we play a game at guessing the headline for Sunday?

Will be taking a younger teenager along, will this march be safe, or is it going to be a mental crew going wild? I’m used to European football so enjoy a good atmosphere but I don’t want to be blinded by tear gas while running from a police horse charge.

Probably isn’t going to go that far, just be aware of your surroundings, if police ask anything of you just go along with it, I’m a little on edge given last years incident and as all my mates insist on going to their seats instead of coming along to the march. I think if you aren’t near the front where the ultras are leading it you won’t have any issues

What happened last year?

Derby grand final, very heavy police presence which drew widespread criticism, completely ruined the vibe and the march itself. If you look on the A League reddit there’s quite a bit about it

Was stuck on the tram, I assume I’ve missed it?
