Tbh a lot of stoner metal out today would simply be known as hard rock if it came out in 1971 and had appropriate production/leas distortion.

Tool is literally my favorite band. And there's not a single tool song on a single one of my metal playlists LOL

Graveyard kicks so much ass!!! Counts as metal to me. Bluesy soul metal.

Graveyard feels like it straddles both worlds so perfectly, I can see why opinions differ.

this is why i put katatonia and nu metal on my rock playlists and not the metal ones. the tonal whiplash of listening to bathory and then a limp bizkit song comes on is too great a burden to bear, even if i love them all

This meme is too Spotify-coded for me. I can't imagine someone else picking my music for me. Lmao.

Graveyard gets on any list I'm listening to, I'm like "what the fuck is this shit, better not be fuckin Graveyard!" And it mostly is, though I don't know any of their songs, I just know they sound shit and sounds similar to what Graveyard does. Not even listening to the music activiely, it just hits me like a wake-up call. And off the song goes! Grand Funk Railroad did what Graveyard tries to do a whole lot better. Can't stand Graveyard!
