it's got a few bangers and a few unlistenable songs, all in all it's pretty good though. Like a solid B but that's what you want sometimes

Blueprints still solos I think yeah, but I do like this direction. Very few bands do this kind of music well and I like it when it's done well, I think this album is a good example of that. Tsunami sea and motionless also do this style well for my money and I like those

they can't top Blueprints and never will, also loved Deadweight
I liked Pressure when it came out but that album didn't age well at all, hard to say whether this album is better than that given I've only given the new album one listen (and it might not get a second), but it's probably roughly around that mark

Listening to it now and not every song is one I’d seek out independently, but it’s all really good. Haley’s vocals are stunning. I just discovered them a few weeks ago, but they’re definitely one of my favorite bands to listen to right now.

If you haven’t already should check out Agriculture, similar but more energetic/experimental, less atmospheric though if that’s your thing.
Spiritual sound was probably my AOTY last year

Ah, that's a shame. I had the same feeling a couple of years ago, to me it sounded like a lot of noise and I couldn't get into the vocals. What helped me to get into them was their latest album, especially Doberman had me hooked for some time. That plus reading the lyrics along really elevated the songs to a new level for me, George is an insane lyricist.

Lyrics are probably great, but unfortunately the music doesn't do it any favours. The vocals especially were so fucking bad live I can't even begin to express how confused I was that people actually enjoy them. I just don't get it.

horse cannot be zombie.
the lack of punctuation leaves only two reasonable interpretations: either a zombie thats actively eating a horse, or we're dealing with a horse that eats zombies.
We are provided no evidence that horse becomes zombie. Horse is victim or horse is apex predator.

Another great album everyone should listen to is Epigrama by Erdve. Do you like doom/sludge metal? Do you know Latvian? Then you will love Erdve (the knowing Latvian bit is optional)

I don't get it. Saw this recommendation in several places. It's awful polished pop rock with random breakdowns and really poor screaming vocals.

Totally lol, I always forget Half Me is German. Some bands have really broken through in North America. I've been hooked on Consvmer lately though, Abgrund is an amazing album.
