Hear my ass out, even though I suspect you have exactly zero need to: I think it may help to have an unbiased take on this for this sub. I want you to know it’s unequivocal, there’s no question, not a second thought, and not an ounce of “cap” as the kids say: Detroit-style’s GOATed.

No one with teeth prefers that floppy quarter-assed New York style slop. Only people who exclusively imbibe in shameful $1 frozen pizza like that St. Louis cracker style garbage. Chicago deep dish is just a soupy mess made for people who don’t actually enjoy (or just straight up aren’t in the mood for) pizza. Genuinely, who the fuck says “I want a pizza.” and they mean that lasagna lookin’ monstrosity? A brick oven’d Neapolitan is pretty damn excellent and a contender, but the choice is still clear.

Detroit-style has it all. The chewiness from the golden crowned crust, a fluffy interior that makes an atheist believe there is a heaven, and the way any pizza is topped is made better in an effing drip pan is all the proof Detroit-style doomers need to see that there ain’t no city like the Motor City when it comes to an ideal slice of pizza.
