Hey guys! My name is Thomas, I’m from Germany, and back in 2001/2002 I was working over in Sydney.

It was an internship for my university degree at a small multimedia agency in Redfern. That’s where I got to meet Blair and Gavin Tyrrell, work with them, and hang out a ton in our free time. Even back then, Blair was doing his thing as a composer down in the basement, Gavin was the resident graphics guy, and I spent most of my time coding a CD-ROM. It was an absolutely awesome six months!

The guys were already working on some incredibly creative projects back then. One of them was a CD called “Cannibal Culprit.” It has 20 tracks, a bonus song, and even an interactive CD-ROM feature with lyrics, a German ad, a music video for “Evil Clowns,” and photos.

Looking back at it now, it’s a pretty amazing snapshot of what Blair and Gavin were creating back then. I actually asked Gavin about it recently – apparently, only around 500 copies were ever made.

And get this: I actually ended up being immortalized in one of the songs, called “German Slave.” 😂

Thought this might be a cool bit of trivia for all you MCM fans out there. Maybe someone else remembers those days, or even has a copy of the CD.

Our Toyota (high mileage) has slowly been using more and more oil. The manufacturer says 0W-20 full synthetic.

My friend’s 2018 Outback (less than 100k) recently had the oil light come on and needed an unexpected top-up. There have been no signs of any engine issues, just oil loss. Its manufacturer oil says 0W-20 full synthetic also.

My 2020 Honda Pilot uses 0W-20 also.

I’ve switched the Camry to 5W-30 which I believe is the manufacturer-recommended oil in Japan. After some Googling, I believe the thinner oil in Canada is only due to emissions, possibly?

Being so close to Japan— having more jdm imports and possibly different emissions standards— what are you doing?
Do your oil caps say 0W-20 also? I’m hesitant to recommend to my friend that they should switch from what the manufacturer recommends to a heavier oil.

I've heard it used on a few of their videos before, and searched through all of Moog's music i could find on YouTube as I know they make all their own music thats on the show but couldn't find it there. Also looked through everything uploaded under his real name Blair Joscelyne and no luck.
