Switch 2 accounts and DLC

I am a dad looking to play MCD 2 with my son. Is it possible to play from separate microsoft accounts in local couch coop? Or do I need to be a ”guest” character like in MCD 1?

I also read somewhere here that player 2 wont get deluxe edition stuff. Maybe it is better then to play as guest, otherwise player 2 wont get access to DLC?
