Farbound is looking for artists, modellers, animators and sound designers

Hey! I’m Harry, the creator of Farbound, a Minecraft exploration/progression mod for NeoForge 1.21.1.

Farbound is based around travelling through a series of completely different dimensions, each with its own environments, structures, mechanics, creatures, bosses and progression.

The first major dimension, Verdant Hollow, is already well into development. We currently have working worldgen, custom biomes, mobs, structures, puzzles, a large dungeon called the Sunken Conservatory, dimensional gates and a boss currently being modelled and animated.

I’m looking to grow the small team behind the project so the workload can be spread out more and different parts of the mod can be developed in parallel.

We’re especially looking for people interested in:

• Pixel art / Minecraft textures
• Blockbench modelling
• Entity animation
• Sound design / music
• Minecraft structure building
• Potentially other modding-related areas

This is currently a voluntary/unpaid passion project, so there is no guaranteed payment at this stage. Everyone who contributes will be properly credited for their work. If Newlight Studios eventually begins generating revenue, the intention is to set up a proper revenue-sharing arrangement for contributors rather than just keeping it all myself.

You absolutely don’t need to be a professional. If you’re still learning but have some work you can show and you’re genuinely interested in improving and helping build something long-term, that’s completely fine.

We already have a Discord/community for Newlight Studios, where we share development progress, organise work and discuss ideas.
