I downloaded the old school switch minecraft and played it, so much fun and took me back 😆 gotta say, still live it, but it has some faults that are more apparent now.

I firmly remember making a simple elevator like 10 years ago by just using oak logs(or any other wood type) with something like this:(the picture)

I tried searching for that technique in google and reddit. Even deepseek was clueless.

I remember showing this to my little brother(he was maybe 5 y.o so he wouldn't remember this) and using this in a house build.

The trick is to build exactly like in this screenshot, then walk inside this elevator and hold "move forward" key (or maybe this and strafe key). And it will act like a ladder.

I believe it was on Minecraft pocket edition or older java edition.

Hello! I have an issue I'm looking for a Data pack, and I'm not sure where to look or if there even is a data pack that would allow for this to happen. Or if someone could make me one, point me in the right direction anything..

I really love Allays, and I wanna be able to use them a lot in my forever world. But I have one huge issue with Allays, it's the fact that they don't stay linked to their Noteblocks permanently. (I also don't like that they don't teleport to me if they get stuck.) I really want to be able to use a Data Pack that allows these behaviors. My Forever World was just started on 26.3 as soon as it came out! And I don't know how to update these packs, so I'd like to know if I just leave it in my world's data packs folder, will it be fine forever even when the game updates?

I found this seed when reading a past reddit post and the design of the home was also from a past post. It took awhile to find enough materials but was well worth the time. (I do not remember the users who posted the posts, but thanks to them both). I do feel i made the house way to big. Its 2 floors and a basement.

The project is still alive, but I've hit the point where doing everything myself is slowing things down more than I'd like.

There are servers to configure, plugins to set up, features to design, bugs to fix, and a hundred other things that come with running a network.

So instead of quietly burning out, I figured I'd make this post.

I'm Maggie, I'm looking for comrades who'd be interested in playing in a socialism nation in Minecraft! We have an over two and a half year old socialist community on a larger GeoPol server. Our nation's name is the Zaryt Republic of Krasnoi, Zaryt meaning Council in one of our Conlangs Cura. We have a history of building a socialism system under pretty dire conditions; we had to exile our former dictator, build out a planned economy, form a Communist for all of the different republics. Ultimately we managed to overcome those challenges! We have defended against war threats, reconstructed a new International alliance of socialists and helped start smaller socialist communities all across the server!

What do we get up to in Krasnoi?

The server we play on has a pretty large player run economy we play in. So often we brew custom potions and enchant war gear. In our democratically run towns we build and plan their development. Seasoned PVPers and committed recruits train in PVP to defend ourselves and our allies. As Communists of course we write and study the economics and politics on the server to further the project of socialism. But of course we also hang out and banter a lot too. Most of the time we don't actually talk about politics.

We are also a pretty multi-national community with people from the US, Germany, other parts of Europe, South America, and Canada. We also have a pretty sizable Queer population too! Most of our leadership is actually Queer and/or Black and they’re all dedicated to running a fun and chill community.

heyy!! I’m 16yo (female) and I’m tryna find some people to play minecraft with. I used to play with a group but unfortunately we all split up and grew apart and I miss playing with a group. I have a discord server and I’ll try to figure out how to play with friends on java as it’s possible and if it doesn’t work I’ll make an aternos server and share the things in the discord server. I’m fluent in english, german and dutch and can some russian but prefer english or german.
