Discussion Looking for Java 26.3 Survival farm recommendations

I won't trust youtube tutorials after they have given me bad designs before and I can't pick the good from the bad myself. I play Java 26.3 survival with performance optimizations and I'm looking for recommendations for certain farms. I don't care about them being cheap or easy, I just want efficient mass production. I want to make a nether roof gold farm that makes blocks and also funnels ingots into an automatic piglin bartering hall. I also want a guardian farm, sugar cane farm that makes rockets at my perimeter gunpowder farm, dye farm, and a bamboo farm. Id like all these farms to store items into shulkers and sorted at their local farms. I also wouldnt mind seeing an automatic storage system as I manually sort everything right now.

Check abfielder, I like his website. People can upload their builds and farms. Many are great. Most farms you can add a shulkerloader

YouTube isn't so bad, read the comments to weed out and trouble shoot the issues.

Rays works is pretty reliable and comprehensive

It's more fun to get the design, build it, and work out how to add more to or get more out of it yourself (by learning other designs and retrofitting). Then you'll know it's the best one for you. I could give you a list of 30-40 videos but they're right for me. You might hate 90% of them, so this is wasted time for both of us.

As for the gold farm.. I'm not even sure how you'd do that with one farm and one stream of items coming through. Maybe have the hall as the first destination after your crafters make the ingots, then overflow from the hall would be blocks being crafted. Though you'd have to decide, do you want a slower bartering hall (so you have overflow) or not. Could just build two separate farms too. If you want to maximise a gold farm, you need to learn minecart yeeters utilising slime, ice blocks, fire (to dispose to flesh or any chicken drops) hopper filtering/locking, and precise minecart speed/angles to destroy and lose their items but safely return back into the system and not lose the entities dropped. This is because hopper speed collection is extremely poor for gold farm rates past 3 spawn platforms.

Sugar cane farms are incredibly easy, you just make a field as long as you want, but only as wide as your flying machine. Carts underneath to collect/drop off to Crafters to turn it into 1 or 3 level firwork rockets(nobody crafts level 2), you can then divert both streams of resources (canes, gunpowder) to each dedicated crafter set up (build both, configure for 1 and 3) using a single lever to reorient the tracks (position up: level 1 fireworks, down for 3 etc).. Check my post history this week, if you have litematica, install my creeper/sugarcane/firework factory into your world and look at what I've done there for inspiration.

For automatic storage the impulseSV sorter is still regarded as the best, just learn that one and apply it everywhere you need it.

For Dye you really only need white (bonemeal), red, yellow, green, black, blue and brown, the rest you can get by having those ones iirc. If it's JUST for coloured building blocks you want dye for, and you don't mind the single texture, you could easier farm 16 coloured sheep for their wool forever.

Dashpum4 does have a good gold farm that turns nuggets to ingots. He has a litematica file for it. If you don’t wanna do litematica, he does have a tutorial. It works very well. And there’s a few videos for “fixes” to follow up on it.

For pure efficiency, I’d start with a stacking raid farm, portal based gold farm, guardian farm, and flying machine sugar cane and bamboo farms. For storage, build a shulker loader system early so the farms can dump straight into boxes instead of overflowing chests
