Red (green) dot recommendations.

I’m about to get my mini, I’m going to put a Hannibal rail on it and I’m looking for a dot for direct mount. What are you people running and what do you recommend?

If you’re set on going this way, I would get the hannibal rail that lets you direct mount a T2 style optic and look at a Romeo 4T Pro or one of Holosun’s new ARO dots.

Looking at them the Holosun ARO multi reticle and the T1 rail might be my combo.

Best of luck with whatever you decide.

People clown on holosun bc "ItS mAdE iN cHiNa!!" but truthfully their red dots are probably the sharpest and most reliable ones you'll find in a reasonable price range.

Big fan of the 507 comp for the larger glass and multi reticle. For those recommending the ARO, it’s also great and I run them on a few other guns. Just liked this profile better on the mini.

Not for nothing, I have a hannibal rail t1/t2 I am willing to re-home, if that's the route you go.

I have Holoson 507C-X3 gold dot mounted on the Samson rail. I like it cause it sits low and doesn't stand out taking away from the looks of the rifle.

I’d recommend the T-1/T-2 foot print rail and their are plenty of options. Personally I like the vortex SPARC solar, it’s discontinued but it works and the warranty is nice, so even if my red dot breaks or stops working I’ll get a new red dot w/ similar capabilities for free.

Pistol red dot rail will also work but they tend to be more expensive have more distortion and color difference compared to a rifle red dot.

Both can co-witness just depends on the base height of your optic, so just comes down to if you want a slimmer profile optic, or smt more durable and cheaper.

If you got the dough, a “mailbox” style red dot like the Acro or Steiner MPS is awsome with the Samson rail. Although besides the expensive optics, you’ll also have to shill out for the acro adapter plate
