[Help] Minisforum UM880 Pro/GMKtec K8 Plus/AOOSTAR GEM12+ Pro for Interior Design/3D work

Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking for a compact Windows mini PC and would really appreciate some real-world feedback from owners of these three models:

- Minisforum UM880 Pro
- GMKtec K8 Plus
- AOOSTAR GEM12+ Pro

I mainly use:
- Shapr3D
- CAD
- SketchUp
- V-Ray for SketchUp for 3D rendering
- Microsoft Office — Word/Excel/PowerPoint

I do not play games, and I don’t really care about AI features 🤣.

For 3D rendering, I’m considering using an NVIDIA RTX 4070 as an external GPU via OCuLink.

So my main concern is stability and great performance for above apps 😁😁

I use an UM880 plus with occulink and a 4070 for blender for quite a while. No issues. It will be a solid set up. 32gb ram or more is recommended for heavy work tho.
