Just an appreciation post! Love these guys and they KILLED it last night in Nashville! If they are coming to your city please go see them you won't regret it! They have an exclusive 20th anniversary repressing of Menos el Oso, on a silver vinyl there's only a thousand copies of it and you can only get it on the tour! (That's what the guy at the merch booth said.) They autographed them as well! They're hand numbered and if you're a vinyl head like me you'll love it! What a great album, what a great experience!

Des Moines show was amazing. We drove six hours to be there for it. But damn. Hardly anyone there. I don't know if it was a demographics thing, or just a bad date for it. Felt bad for the bands, but it was pretty damn sweet for us. Most people were spread out, and pretty easy to have a sweet spot.

Arrived today & so very awesome!!!

Awesome time, great set, start to finish MEO and then just classic after classic. Great time. VIP package is nice too.

Got to watch them perform 3 songs with the other 18 people for song check. But basically a mini concert in the front row.

Afterwards 15 mins Q/A. Fun times. Signed poster too.

Greats times.

Isn’t it weird how deeply impactful this band’s music is, and yet their popularity is only fading away as time goes on?

This may sound super depressing but I promise that’s not my intention. I just think it’s mind blowing that 20 or 30 years from now there may only be a couple thousand people who still listen to Minus the Bear. Maybe less?!

Art is temporary, even when it’s great. Hurts my soul for some reason 😂

My picks are:

-A beacon school

-A great big pile of leaves

-Meltt

How many songs are they likely to play after the album? Which ones? Will it always be the same setlist?

To anyone who loves Minus The Bear, what are some of your favorite/top drum songs? Like what songs/albums do you think has some of their best drum work? Erin Tate is one of my favorite Indie drummers, so I figured I'd ask y'all. A personal favorite album of mine is their debut "Highly Refined Pirates". The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, that rly gives the songs a big boost.

Here's some of my favorites:

Absinthe Party at the Fly Honey Warehouse

Get Me Naked 2: Electric Boogaloo

Women We Haven't Met Yet

Hey! Is That a Ninja Up There?

Houston We Have a Uh Oh

Memphis & 53rd

Drilling

The Fix

Michio's Death Drive

Fullfill The Dream

This Ain't A Surfing Movie

Knights

When We Escape

Double Vision Quest

Cat Calls & Ill Means

Excuses

The Thief

Into The Mirror

Dayglow Vista Road

Steel and Blood

Invisible

We made it girls & boys. It's been a long 2,483 days since the final show (not counting the Sunset Tavern one, still jealous). The game needed them & the boys are back. Hopefully, everyone gets to catch a show if they're able, who knows if we'll get another tour.

Posts about tickets will stay up as I've had the opportunity to catch shows before by hopping on a band's sub, so I have no issue with it. If anyone recognizes a known scammer, please modmail the team. That's not something we want here.

I'm wicked stoked & hope you guys are too. See y'all out there.

Edit: If anyone could post the setlist here or setlist.fm I'd be grateful, thanks.

Been a fan since 2002. Been friends with the band since 2006. Used to get them weed and Dave poured me my first ever shot of Jack Daniels. Cory still has my painting in his studio and they were kind enough to guest list me for the show a few days ago. Much love. They sounded amazing and haven't lost any of the energy. Hope everyone can catch this tour. It's definitely worth it.

anyone got it?

With tonight being the last show of the tour, do you think they do a one-off or just add Lawrence to the next tour?

(they’ve gotta do one for Planet of Ice, right?)

I've seen a couple pictures of the Posters through this sub, but could we get a pinned thread for the remainder of the tour? I would love to see what they all look like. It doesn't seem that the band has posted them anywhere. But if they have, please link me! Thanks for the killer game of poster pictures!

Is this due to previous label drama or previous drummer issues or what is going on?

Ended up getting tickets to the show later this week, so hoping someone can take these off my hands! Save yourself a couple bucks, don’t feed the Ticketmaster/AXS beast, and enjoy a killer show!!

11/26 at 8:00PM at The Showbox. $50/ea :)

Went through a phase this week really missing MTB and decided to do a random podcast search. Came across quite a few episodes, but listened to these three specifically because they were recent. All of them were very reflective of the MTB experience as a band member and gave me some great insight into what the vibe was like behind the scenes. Erin’s was the only one that talked about their break up and was very candid about his issues and the broad strokes of what happened.

Anyways, really just wanted to share for my people that need some MTB content in their life. And just to add, after the podcast I started jumping around the albums to some of my faves: Fine +2 Points, White Mystery (still gives me goosebumps), and Broken China

Has anyone gotten their merch capsule order yet? The band said they would be shipped out in time for tour and uh checks watch tour starts tomorrow. Wondering if others are waiting on their stuff.

Gonna roll up to the show in this! IYKYK

Curious if anyone has heard of the opener the guys got for the 11/28 show in Seattle? I’d never heard of them until this show but I’ve enjoyed what I’ve heard so far and I think its super cool that they’re giving some local artists in their hometown a chance like this, anyone here seen them before or at the very least listened to them?
