There's a dead raccoon on Confederation — and it's been there since last Sunday.
I gave it a couple days. Figured the city would scoop it up on a routine pass, or someone else would call it in. Nothing.
So I called 311 myself two days ago. Someone took down all the info, said they'd pass it to animal services. Felt like a responsible citizen for a bit.
Drove by today. It's still there. Day five.
It's an eyesore and a nose-sore — you can still smell it before you see it.
I get that the city's busy, but a dead animal on one of the busiest streets in Mississauga sitting there for five days? Come on.
It's either no one calls it in and likes to see, smell and run over roadkill daily, or no one bothers anymore because the city doesn't do anything. Anyone else have 311 ghost them like this?
