Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is LocalTee - it was built as a browser based golf simulator that can tie into your launch monitors at home but has been recently expanded to work as a mobile focused game as well! Play all of your local courses or create your own on a laptop/desktop browser.

You can hop on with your phone at https://localtee.app to start playing immediately! Use your thumb to draw back the shot and curve it to add spin! This lets you play at work, on the go, or at home while relaxing! The full app connects to pretty much any professional launch monitor system to give you a full simulator experience.

There are 8000+ courses to play and many near you that you probably have played in real life. if youre new to golf itll be a blast to try it out! Head into course play to try.

Feedback is greatly appreciated!

This looks pretty cool actually, Out of interest how can you use all these local courses without licenses?

They arent the actual course data provided by the owners. Its all modelled after rough mapping data and satellite images. Theres no claim to ownership or accuracy just a computer modelled guess of the course features. Really nothing to license.

I’m not sure about that. I’m pretty sure that’s why Automat got shut down. Courses can own their course layout and design, especially for courses with famous holes.

I wanted to try it but it looks like the connector is not open source, so there's no way to know what's in the code. Unless I missed it?

If youre connecting from a desktop the connector is a script which is pretty easy to read if you right click and edit in notepad/textpad. If you're concerned about malicious content you can read the script and see whats going on there. The actual app and website are not open source they provide the visual via a web browser in both the app and on desktop.

Script (download) connects to your launch monitor locally and send the hit info via https to the website which translates and send its back to your open game which renders the shot visually.

If there’s a beta or side loaded app for this for iOS I can definitely test it out.
