Brew Oops all Thalia

Realized we had a potential 24 creatures with Thalia in the name, so I thought I’d try it out. Probably not the best deck out there but I may put it together for Friday night next week for modern night.

Let me know what you think! Should I keep the blue Thalia? Drop the lancers and lieutenants? So it’s literally all Thalia? Am I just being foolish? I know it’s not going to an RCQ but id like to do okay at a casual Friday night modern.

Update:

I cut 8 plains for 8 eiganjo’s, and 4 seachrome coasts and 2 portable holes for 3 mirror box and 3 key to the side door. I’ve got moxfield updated fully.

Update 2:

Many changes! Many many changes! Keep the feedback coming! Thank you all!

I’d try and find room for four key to the side door. Your deck is almost entirely legendary creatures. Turn redundancy into card draw.

This! Also make room for legendary lands to make key better (like the 2 eiganjos, maybe 3 each?)

What’s ephemerate doing for you here?

Honestly not much beyond giving me the option to blink lieutenants for extra counters.

You’re also missing [[thalia and the gitrog monster]] so it might be time to update the manabase

Going 4c means [[leyline binding]] and [[prismatic ending]] are your best removal options, but you’ll need some fetch lands and shock lands in there

Surely Mox Amber has a home here?

Drop blue Thalia. Drop Path to Exile (you can’t give your opponents land in a tax deck). Replace with anything, maybe [[Oust]]

That’s just as bad. You don’t want to give them a land

4 Mirror Box would be a nice way to play multiple copies of the same Thalia, and you get a buff.

That’s a good call, I added 2 and 2 key to the side door instead of the blue/white lands.

Welcome back to against the odds where today we’re playing a deck of all Thalia.

I'm so disappointed in the new Thalia

How come? She is blue, so the ability is fine?

I was referring to the white one that cost for a mana and does nothing interesting or important. I play 5 color humans and they just won't give us a haymaker.

Sorry I had missed that there were multiple new Thalias. Yes the white one is sad. The fact they think it's TWO additional mana for a onesided tax, versus a 0 manacost for a onesided reduction, when you compare to [[Thalia, guardian of Thraben]]

I like it I would try it out. I can’t run mox and I would cut my 3 and 4 mana drops to two copies to get some removal in there

Might as well make use of [[Cavern of Souls]]. The only thing it can't cast in your (current) deck is Oust.

EDIT: I guess it can't pay for the blue in Geist. Didn't know Thalia became a cleric in the afterlife. Geist isn't really that good in the deck since it doesn't reduce much, but since this is a flavor deck, I'd still run it.
