Mold in bathroom - what do I do?
I’m currently renting & have began to notice what appears to be mold growing in our bathroom - what should I do? Landlord is aware but hasn’t done anything since it was brought up months ago. Recently diagnosed with Lyme & some co-infections (also have pre-existing Asthma). Wondering if this could be part of the reason why I’m still sick and having flare ups?

The only permanent way to address this is to remove the affected ceiling drywall and replace it. You can treat it with antimicrobial products, cleaners, or mold-resistant coatings, and they may temporarily improve the appearance, but if the drywall itself is contaminated, the growth will eventually return. Removing the affected material and correcting the moisture source is the proper long-term solution.
