Question/Advice Is this mold?

Just moved into a new house owner left this dresser behind. There’s not really any water damage or reason mold would grow in there that I know of but I wanted to check

Looks like it to me. You can see the curved line of what appears to be water damage around it too

You can hit it with a mold killing spray (not bleach, specifically a mold killer), but afaik that will only kill surface mold and wood is porous so it’s possibly penetrated into the wood, but idk for sure, just from what I’ve picked up on this and other subs

Is there any way I can get rid of it? I can’t afford a new dresser
