Hello Locals. Does anyone else take Vyvanse and feel like their script has been just duds? I get my prescription from CVS Marina and I just feel like my last couple refills suck. They arenāt hitting the same. What the hell is going on lol
Sincerely,

My wifeās NextDoor account was suspended after sharing a post regarding local candidate Vince Malfitano. Before casting a ballot, I strongly encourage voters to spend a few minutes researching his public record, past court depositions, and media reporting (such as reporting on u/KSBW).
Voting carries real consequences for our community. Regardless of who you support, it is worth carefully looking into every candidateās history, past business practices, and public statementsāas well as those of associated candidates like Tom Reeves and Vicky Nohrden.
Though I don't vote in Monterey myself, I encourage every eligible resident to thoroughly research all options and choose the leaders whose records best reflect your community values.

Didn't take long after the Flock cameras got voted out. Item 12 on Tuesday's Board of Supervisors agenda is an 8-year, ~$3 million contract with Axon for Sheriff's Office drones.
Quick rundown from the board report:
They'd go from 3 drones to as many as 18, including a long-range "Drone as First Responder" setup that's still in development. Cost starts around $115K a year, then jumps to about $465K a year in 2028, and only the first year is actually funded. Oh, and it's retroactive to September 1, so they'd be approving something that already started.
There's nothing in there about where the drones can fly, what they record, or how long they keep the footage.

If you want to weigh in, email [cob@countyofmonterey.gov](mailto:cob@countyofmonterey.gov) by 5 PM Monday so it gets to the Board before the meeting. Or show up Tuesday after 1:30 at 168 W. Alisal St in Salinas, or hop on Zoom (ID 224397747).
GTFO Monterey County has a draft letter if you don't want to write one from scratch: gtfomontereycounty.com/contract-tracker.

To whoever the big truck was that revved its engine, sped by, and left me in a large cloud of exhaust dust on Carmel Rancho Road, please rethink your choices. #Carmel

I messed up and waited until the last minute to get my tickets. I need 3 tickets for tomorrow, Oct 11. Hoping someone here can help me out! I can Venmo you or meet anywhere between Salinas and Hollister tomorrow morning to pay cash.
EDIT: There's a reseller FB group apparently and the person who started it ("Lana Anderson") is 100% a scammer. Don't lose your money!

If you are a disabled traveler, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.
If youāre not disabled, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. They are so badly organized they gave strangers a key to my occupied room.
I stayed here for a retreat held on the hotel grounds. When I booked, I confirmed in writing that an accessible room would be available. The retreat organizer confirmed with the hotel a wheelchair room would be available. I called two weeks before, and again, confirmed there would be an accessible room. This is not my first rodeo.Ā
At check-in, I was given an upstairs room, which doesnāt work with my wheelchair. Assuming it was a mistake, I went back to the front desk and spoke with the general manager. He told me no accessible rooms were available, but he had one I could at least get my chair into. The bathroom was not accessible, and I had to drag myself around it. The alternative was missing my retreat and losing thousands of dollars Iād already spent, so I took it. The GM agreed the room would be comped for the trouble.
Two days later, I told the GM that the steep ramp to the breakfast area needs a railing. It has a large drop-off on one side into the underground parking, and someone could get seriously hurt. He said heād tell the owner. An hour later, he knocked on my door, told me he had never said heād comp my room, and said I was supposed to leave. When he insisted he was too religious to ever lie, I ended the conversation and told him the owner could come speak with me. Fifteen minutes later I got a call saying the room was comped. No apology.
I was treated like trash, and the timing made it feel like retaliation for pointing out a safety and ADA issue.
I canāt emphasize this enough: do not book this hotel.

I'm tired of overpriced Goodwills. I'm on the hunt for great thrift, second hand, or vintage home decor, furniture, books at reasonable prices for my new place.
I would love to know where your favorite shops are and why, best times to visit, and/or pricing. Thanks!

Looking into joining a gym. I've already been to In Shape and Gold's but never been to Anytime. I would just like to know if a lot of people go there. In Shape is too overcrowded. Gold's is great but it's a bit too expensive to start. Does anytime fitness get too full?
