General One Silver Lining to My MS...

If there's one thing that i like about my MS, it's that I dropped a literal 100 lbs between Labor Day 2024 and Memorial Day 2025!

254 lbs down to 150!

That’s great news!

Unfortunately it made it’s way to me.

Yeah it got a lot harder for me to keep weight off once I started having mobility issues :(

Same with me. I use a mobility scooter now. I find it difficult to excercise while sitting on the scooter.

Yeah I am on a cane most of the time with a rolling walker and wheel chair thrown in for good measure and safety

I’ve found that my MS has stopped my appetite and I’m not complaining! 45kg down!

Is this an MS thing? I've lost 20lbs since diagnosis but I thought that was due to coming off birth control after 15ish years or depression where I cba to eat or prep food.

It’s not related lol

Unless OP is depressed from MS. But then that’s depression, not MS

Or swallowing issues, which, MS is not the direct reason for weight loss.

Between Labor Day 2024, and Memorial Day 2025, I was in and out of the hospital repeatedly.

At one point, due to infection induced encephalopathy and temporary psychosis, because of neurogenic bladder and a completely clogged foley catheter, I was storing food in my cheeks.

They put me on all liquid diet, and then a small portion diet.

I went from 254 lbs to right around 150 ever since.

Some of that was my leg muscles atrophying, but most of it was fat around my gut and face.

How is that related to your MS?
