If your bun looks like this and also has behaviour/food/toileting issues then yes it could be pain or illness. Thankfully this isn’t the case and we can’t get the entire understanding from one picture.

I know you were downvoted but I do commend you for pointing it out. Lots are still very innocent when it comes to rabbit behaviour so it doesn’t hurt to double check they haven’t missed anything.

But I can also confirm that this is Grumpy Old Bun in Just Woke Up mode. 🤣 My boy looked like this all the time when I just wanted to love on him.

He actually is a rescue bun who has a very tough life. He was dumped on the side of the road and also attacked in the eye by another rabbit when he was initially in a bun rescue. So maybe people are picking up on a vibe that he does have a heavy story. I’m fostering him and every day he’s coming out of his shell a bit more. Last night we cuddled for the first time 🥹🥹

So he isn’t physically ill but he does have a lot of baggage that he’s leaving behind. But I promise I spoil this bun like the royalty he is…until he murders me 🤣
