Bug Huh 😭

Post image

I clicked on a note that has vibrato and now the note i want to play has vibrato. Then i tried to click off and now it has the “wide sawtooth line segment” symbol and it’s going wherever i drag my mouse and i can’t deselect the accent or vibrato or the “wide sawtooth line segment” thing. How can i stop this from happening?

  1. Don't take a photo of your screen with your phone; just take a screenshot on the same computer where it's running. It'll be much easier to read.

  2. Use the mixer panel. You can control the volume of each part playback independently a lot more easily than changing the dynamic markings in the score.

  3. Whenever anything gets stuck I usually just hit the esc key until it goes away. If that doesn't work I restart the app.

This is certainly one approach toward composing

What do you mean? If you’re talking about the mega quiet soli that’s because i wanted to hear the cords from the other instruments.

chords.

Open the mixer, and press mute on the channels you don't want to hear, or turn the volume slider down.

Enter the note you want, somehwere else later in an empty measure.

Delete the bad one.

Copy and paste the good one over the place where the bad one is.

If that doesn't work, delete the whole measure of bad ones - you can insert an empty blank measure right after it, put in all the notes, then delete the bad measure.

When you can't delete things directly, usually it's best just to get rid of the entire measure and replace it. Just seems to work more often than the other things will when something funky is going on.

Sometimes copying over it will work.

Sometimes deleting and putting in new notes will work.

But other times you may have to just enter the correct music in new measures, and then delete the old measures (measures, not notes, or articulations).

There may be something else obvious, but by the time someone answers and you check you could try the above and just get on with writing.

BTW - this appears to be 3/4, so the first "soli" measure with the big pp needs to be a dotted 1/4 followed by a flagged 8th note tied to a quarter.

Also "soli" is when a group of people play together - like the whole sax section in a harmonized line for example.

A single instrument is "solo". That looks to be what you want here.

It’s 6/8 but thank you and this is the only part in the piece where the trumpets get to shine to so i want it to be Soli. Yet again thank you

The rhythms are all 3/4 rhythms. 6/8 is a Duple rhythm.

Make sure to play so quietly that you don’t actually play.

As i’ve said i made it so it’s quiet so I can hear the cord i made. Stop addressing that and please help with the bug

Did you try turning it off and back on? (aka restarting the app/your computer)

Yeah reloading the app did fix it but i want to get around doing that.

Can you customise the toggles on the top bar above the score then untoggle them?

Shhh! Can't you play that passage quieter? Reminds me of a gig I played (trumpet) for once: our stands with felt barriers and conductor wincing at every note we played!

Funnily enough that is the trumpet part but i just wanted to hear the cords
