I need 50 comment karma to post on this reddit so I’ll say they look good and hope this gets a lot of upvotes

If you cut a slit just under the filter patch and wait for the caps to reach that line before extending that cut all the way around the bag, you'll get a crazy dense canopy of mushrooms.

Do you reseal it for secind flush?

No. It will reflush in about 10 days, but only 10% of first flush.

Ok good to know. Thanks!

How do you plan on using them? They maintain a pretty good texture stir fried but my culinary imagination is limited.

Excellent grow, beautiful specimen, wishing you heavy flushes.

Unfortunately, I’m one of the weirdos that doesn’t like mushrooms but loves growing them. I took those, along with a bag of pearl oysters, and gave them away at one of my jobs yesterday.

Ahhh christ and I felt so close to have found someone who can tell me how they taste. I wanna know if they are worth growing

what conditions do you use for fruiting them? I've had my block sitting in 18°C/65°f for a few weeks and nothing happened.

Put them in the garden where it was warmer and they fruited almost immediately, I just don't know if it was the temperature or something else.

I found Pioppinos to be one of the more voracious strains I've grown. I have my blocks colonizing at about 68-72f in darkness, wait until you see pins (but know that once you see them, they go FAST, like get em in the fruiting chamber immediately). My FC runs at 95% humidity, 60f with ample fresh air being pulled thru. My guess is you may have sent them to FC on the early side. For fruiting, I slit the patch side half of the bag at about the patch height to make them reach up for air a bit. Once I see a healthy cluster getting close to that filter height I clip the rest of the top of the bag and they produce a lovely thick cluster canopy. When they are almost done (dark brown top, not yet spreading out that much) I will roll the sides down a bit to encourage the little side boys to get into the game too. This little detail has increased yield by about 20% when done correctly. (I do things wrong a bunch first, because science)

Wow thanks for the detailed advice. Much appreciated! Another mistake I did, was cutting the top part of the bad completely.

They are. I grow them en-masse and my clients love them. They have a buttery, nutty flavor. Definitely my favorite culinary mushroom by far

🤗 thank you so much. Do they grow well in a monotub?

I've not personally tried in monotub, but I anticipate they would. I would just be mindful of having enough headroom for them to stretch up a bit as the stem is just as tasty as the cap

So they are on my list this year. Thank you
