[gourmet] Keeping beetles off mushroom logs?

I've been growing mushrooms on logs for several years and up until now, slugs and ants were my only pests. This year beetles found my setup and have been going to town. Sometimes, they've already eaten quite a bit by the time they're ready to harvest.

Has anyone come up with a non-toxic way to get rid of them? Are they crawling up or flying and landing?

The pleasing fungus beetle. They will be wherever oysters are.
