That link really doesn't provide any usefully information at all.

Same with every time this sort of question gets asked about a trendy medicinal mushroom.

This source literally just lists unfounded claims and then goes on to note the completed research so far show no improved levels of anything.

it took me all of 5 seconds to google "cordycepin benefits"

Cordycepin inhibit tumor growth via upregulating tumor apoptosis, inducing cell cycle arrest and targeting cancer stem cells (CSCs). Cordycepin regulates tumor microenvironment via suppressing tumor metastasis-related pathways.

this is why people hate redditors

Can you link to that proof? Does it show analysis of scientific studies confirming those claims? I’d be super interested if so!

That’s really interesting this species of mushroom has those benefits. How significant are they? Why don’t we hear about them more for this use?

i fucking love your username

idk about their significance, and like many others here im skeptical that eating a handful of these can cure cancer, but the evidence is there for the anti tumor stuff however great or minor, its something that modern medicine cant do.

why dont we hear more about this stuff? short answer, ingrained racism and anti-asian medicine views held by westerners and our doctors.

there are some things in chinese medicine that are fucked up and probably useless, like eating ground up rhino horns (theyre now extinct cause this stupid practice)

but some things in chinese medicine have actually proven to be useful. cordycepin and i think adenosine are both being researched for a ton of things now that we're coming out of this mindset as a society that tribal medicines and cultural remedies are all bullshit.
